*B-to-the-E from Bud is a Herbed/Spice. Almost added as such since the beer contains Ginseng.

The beer poured into the glass slightly hazy lime green with a white head which rose for a second but fell in an instant to do practically nothing in terms of lacing the glass. The appearance was so green, just like the can, that I instantly thought it was St. Patty's Day and it was green beer.

The aroma was candy green apple, just exactly like a Jolly Rancher candy. Some light alcohol was emitted in the aroma.

The flavor was sweet and odd with a much lighter apple flavor than the aroma would have suggested. The flavor was that of fresh cut green apples, but the beer was not sour, overly and cloyingly sweet would be a more appropriate description.

The finish was dry after a period of time with a lasting impression of green apple far too long after the flavor subsides. The body was medium. I'd say skip this one unless you love green apples and poorly crafted malt liquor. The green apple and alcohol flavors just are not well done.

24 ounce can. Malt Beverage wtih Artificial Flavor, Ginseng, and Certified Color (FD&C #1), and FD&C Yellow #5 added.

Poured from 24oz can. This was Round 3 of the Evil Eye Challenge.

A- Pours a lime green color almost the same color as the can itself. Half finger white head shows poor retention and dies in what seems to be a second flat. No lacing on the sides of the glass.

S- As soon as I cracked this can open it smelled like sickly sweet artifical green apple. After pouring it and letting it sit for a second it still smelled like green apple. From start to finish as far the aroma goes this green apple Jolly Racher type scent dominates. There is some lighter medicinal alcohol that turns sweeter as the beer warms. So lets recap:
1)Shit ton of green apple aroma (Jolly Rancher)
2) Medicinal alcohol
Boy I really want to try this out!

T- Sweet green apples rules the flavor on this beer. Nothing really comes through except for a hint of grain every once in a while and some sweet alcohol in the ending. A little sour tasting I thought from the artifical green apple taste but it died down as I drank this beer.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Green apples dominate everything on the palate and long into the aftertaste. Alcohol isn't really any player in the aftertaste just green apple. Light drying on the palate from alcohol. Flavors were just well...apple forward. No off flavors present but couldn't really tell.

D- This beer was sickly sweet to me. I don't care for it at all. It smells good as far as Evil Eye is concerned but in the overall taste test goes Evil Eye Ice is the best so far but the Red has yet to be tasted.

The beer pours fine with no lace. I have to say it is hard to stomach this beer i found it in 40 ounce bottles in colorado springs. It is cheap like $1.76. I'm guessing this is for a reason. The smell tells you exactly what you are going to be tasting. I am far from impressed with this beer, the only thing this has to offer is the high alcohol percentage for a budget price. So unless you're looking for a cheap drunk avoid this beer.

This must be the "apple drink" Dave Chappelle mentions...it's green! The first green beer I have seen, fake and day-glo (note, day-glo, daaaay-glo, day-glo went out about 10 years ago). No head, just kind of sits there and looks like what made regular turtles transform into Teenage Mutant ones. Lots of bubbles. Smell is fake ans sweet, jolly rancher green apple and strong grainy alcohol are all that you get. Still, may be the best of the 3 varieties of Evil Eye to the nose. Also the best tasting (read: least disgusting). Sweet and not real, the sourness hides the alcohol and grainy flavors common to this brand. Still not good tasting, but I applaud Melanie for at least almost getting something not wrong.
