I live extremely close to Kramer's, and after about two years I realized that it definitely needs to be added to the BeerFly catalog. Unfortunately this place is one that many cheap beer fanatics flock to since it's in the tucked in area of the Museum District in Richmond--close to Caliente too.

It's a really small place, but the selection's quite impressive, with mostly 6 packs in the fairly large cooler. Anything from Paulaner, Victory, Smuttynose, Young's, Geary's, DFH, Rogue, Stone, Thirsty Dog etc. etc. at any given time. Granted, with the room, they don't have tons to store, and if they did there'd certainly be more (and they don't have many varieties of styles for each brewery, but the upside is, as I said, there are many breweries that are covered). But I've gotten many many 6-packs in the past few years and they usually switch up a lot of their stock depending on the season. In the cooler across from the counter they also usually have some stuff like Chimay small bottles, and before Flying Dog Gonzo became really hard to find, they had some 4-packs of that.

So if you're in the area and want a 6-pack and don't want to drive, this is THE place to go to. Carytown Wine and Beer is in Carytown, of course, and it's not too far away, but for a 6-pack of something new or that I want again, I'll go to Kramer's. They also have a decent selection of wine also, and they pack a lot of everything in to their little market. This place has been good to me over the years, so hopefully someone will check it out on a whim if they're ever in the area also.
