Pours a nice clean/clear golden pale yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a nice one-finger foamy head, with some nice sticky lacing left behind. The nose is malty, with some sweetness, and some caramel. The taste is slightly sweet, and malty. Medium body. A nice summer brew/thirst quencher.

This beer pours a light bright orange yellow color, clear with a 1/4 inch of fizzy white head. Smells of lager yeasts, some hops, creme pop, and some bread. Taste if anything is clean and somewhat refreshing but I didn't find it very interesting. Body is light and ABV is quite session able. If you are into light lagers and pilsners this may be a great summer beer for you but I couldn't see getting it again.

Served on-draught into a pilsner glass at Ray's in Utah. Paired with a burger and fries. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a one finger beige colour head of no cream and okay retention. Thin and weak. Colour is a clear pale yellow. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.

Sm: Fresh crisp barley, clean malts, and some cream. A mild strength aroma.

T: Full bodied malted barley, clean bland malts, and some light cream. Flavorful for a lager, but still somewhat bland. Simple. Not subtle.

Mf: Smooth, wet, and crisp. Heavily overcarbonated. Too thick for a lager. Sharp and biting.

Dr: Drinkable but forgettable. I wouldn't bother with it again. An underwhelming effort from Uinta. Still, it's a better option in Utah than most other lagers, and it pairs decently with food.

Beer #16 in my great Utah Brew Hunt.

This is a very earthy and grainy kind of lager. Hearty tones make this less of a sipper than I would have figured. Overall, it's okay, but not something I would really suggest or go back to. So, overall, it's so- so. Tick another one off for the Utah brews.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear pale gold, with several fingers of billowy bright-white head. This retains with a thick creamy dollop of froth right in the middle of the glass, which leaves back a lot of rich and sticky lacing. The aroma smells leafy in the nose, with some mineral notes and green citrus. A doughy sweetness mixes in from behind to give this an earthy twang in the nose.

The taste is leafy bitterness and green citrus, which gives this a crisp feel throughout. A supportive bready sweetness sits along the back and I’m starting to get a bit more lemon flavor from this as things warm up. This is dry and bitter on the finish but is fairly clean here throughout the bulk of the profile. The mouthfeel is lighter bodied, with a smooth crisp creaminess to the carbonation that gives this quenching feel in the mouth.

I enjoyed this, especially for a Pale Lager. It was smooth and clean tasting with a hop profile that really gave this a nice crisp drinkable feel. I could see this really hitting the spot on a warm summer day.

After pouring, I was slightly disappointed with the small head and unremarkable aroma. But the color and especially the light, clean taste won me over. It was quenching with a faint, lovely lemon touch on the tongue and a very slight bitter aftertaste. Would certainly buy more throughout the summer.

I purchased the variety 12-pack because of the recent bottling date of 07/05/2012, to taste this unknown Summer Lager, and for the Cutthroat Pale Ale, which I like very much.

Bottled 12th June 2012. $1.49 single from the Village Pump.

A clear straw yellow with a dense, brilliantly white head that has excellent retention and nice lacing, this is a great-looking lager. The nose is pretty solid. This smells more along the lines of a Czech pils than a pale lager, with a blend of dusty, lemony, earthy hops, light doughy malts and a touch of honey, all very cleanly fermented. There's some melon as well.

The palate opens lightly bittered with an excellent blend of flavoring and bittering hops. The earthy and dusty flavor notes perfectly match the lemony bitterness. A blend of pilsner malt, honey and a little corn lend some sweetness (a little out of balance given the low hop profile). Rather wonderfully clean IMO, the water profile here is very soft and works nicely with the hops. If I were to nitpick, I would say that this needs more flavor hops and less malt, but really, this light bodied beer is perfectly enjoyable as is. Moderately carbonated (not nearly enough IMO), this beer is clean and refreshing, but not quite crisp enough. This is significantly better than other pale lagers I've had recently (Flying Dog's Underdog and NB's Shift), and I'd recommend this.

Pale yellow in the glass with an attractive foamy cap. Pleasantly sudsy in the mouth.

The stuff does have a nice hoppy touch. It's pretty much right on for the style, so you can't complain about the watery, slight flavor. Rather lemony, with a tart touch. Totally drinkable and nicely carbonated. A faint malty flavor somehow comes through. Not as much of the club soda taste as many other beers. It's "beery" in a nice way, pale as it is.

From the 12 oz bottle bought at Emigration Market in Salt Lake, which has a nice selection of single beers. Bottled on 06/12/12.

A- Pale straw body, very clear, with a thick white head.

S- Grass, lemon and pale malt.

T- Fairly balanced pale lager, with hops and malt coming through faintly.

M- Light body, crisp and clean.

O- Good for a hot day, but not something that will blow you away flavor-wise.

On tap at Sawmill Taproom in Raleigh

A - neon yellow with a thin, soft, white head that has good retention

S - lager yeast and faint lemon

T - faint lemon, lager yeast, faint grains, grassy

M - medium bodied, crisp

This is a nice, lighter, easy drinking summer lager. It's consistent, to style, and smooth. It's a solid summer offering.

Pretty much an average beer, nothing to get too excited about, not much complexity. Then again, if you are looking for a lawn mower beer, do you want complexity. Wasn't that impressed with the look of this beer, especially since the head was super fizzy and disapated very quickly. Taste was very slight malt and corn, not much hops at all. All in all, this would be a good beer for a hot day at the beach or doing yard work. Don't get this, expecting to be blown away by deep, complex flavors. This is more of a quencher than anything.
