Pours a slightly hazy, golden color. Two inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong pine, hops, slight citrus, hint of earthy malt, and slight sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong pine, floral hops, slight citrus hops, slight sweet malt, and a hint of pale malt. Overall, good appearance, feel, and body. The floral/pine flavors are too strong for this beer to be considered well blended.

This poured out as a lightly hazy golden color wit ha fizzy white head on top. The smell of the beer was a little hoppy but also had some earthy malt in there too. The taste of the beer was alright, nothing too crazy really, it was bitter mostly from start to finish. The mouthfeel was moderately carbonated and light bodied. Overall this brew wasn't too bad, just not something I'd seek out in the future.

A slightly hazy golden yellow-orange color with a thick shock-white head on top. Excellent retention and lacing. The smell is fruity, orange mostly, backed by lemon and wheat. A strange mustiness looms lightly in the background, but not too badly.

A little watery in mouthfeel, which definitely takes away a bit from some good flavors. The 4% ABV is noticeable in that it seems to lack body. As for the taste, it has a very light bitterness that attempts to give this one some character, but falls short and that musty wheat taste prevails. The citrus can't seem to stand up to it either, making for a rather disappointing overall experience. What citrus is there is like an underripe orange, not quite at its full flavor potential. It finishes dryish, with a wheaty aftertaste that is a bit distracting. The drinkability is high with it at the low ABV, but the flavor just isn't quite there. Not a terrible beer, but I probably won't look for this again. I enjoyed a few of their other ones a lot however, so I will still buy others that I see from Uinta.

Bottle that poured a plae golden color with a large frothy white head. Aroma is floral and grassy hops a little bit of lemon zest is present. Biscuity malt.
Taste is the same. Some sweet biscuity malt, followed by some mild grassy and citrus hops. Small slightly metallic aftertaste.
It's a smooth drinking beer, with some lively carbonation. A little watery. Drying finish. Not a bad session beer but nothing I'd ever seek out again.

A - Pours a clear golden-yellow color with a finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some nice lacing.

S - Aroma is a light mix of citrus hop and some lemon zest. There is some sweet biscuit malt in the background as well.

T - Sweet biscuit malts with some citrus hop and light bitterness. Through the middle, some bready malts and some lemon come through. Finish is a mix of biscuit and some lemon zest.

M - Medium-light bodied with moderate lively carbonation. Smooth and very crisp.

D - Very drinkable. The flavors could be a bit stronger, but this is a very sessionable beer.

Pale flat yellow, plenty of carbonation streams, and four fingers of white micro-bubbly foam.

Pleantsant not overly agressive grapefruit aroma.

Quick fleeting caramel, immediately overwhelmed by grapefruit. Bitterness builds and peaks smoothly at the swallow. Citrus and bitter entwine in the aftertaste.

Light-medium mouthfeel is smooth with some background bubblyness.

Overall an enjoyable if unexceptional pale ale. You might not seek, but no reason to avoid.

Bottled on 9/20/11

Pours a clear yellow-gold with a nice fluffy, white blanket of a head on top. Lightly hoppy nose...mild biscuit malt, juicy grapefruit and lemon. Light in the flavor as well, clearly a low ABV session beer, but tasty in its overall mildness. Green and oily with a slight bitterness. Some floral and herbal notes; touch of grain. Light body, slightly bitter, and a bit drying. I only bought a single, but I imagine it would be easy to drink quite a few of these in a sitting. A simple, light, APA.

A - Golden brown with two finger thick head. Dissipates to a nice lacing that sticks to the sides of the glass.

S - Citrus and spice from the hops, almost a small Cinnamon scent. Light caramel from the malt.

T - Citrus fallowed by a little bit of caramel. Strange aftertaste though, almost like it's trying to be bitter for the hops, but it doesn't quite get there.

M - Light body, good carbonation, goes pretty well with the flavor.

O - Pretty nice orange flavor, though they need to decide what they are trying to achieve with the hops. But hey, it's organic and not a bad beer if that's what you are looking for.

Bottle into pint glass
A – Hazy golden yellow with a 1 finger head that dissipated quickly to a thin layer with something you might call lacing 3.5
S – Strong peach, florals, pale malt sweetness, mild orange citrus 4
T – Grains, moderate pine, a toasty character with mild orange zest sour bitterness finish, crisp & dry 3.5
M – Upper moderate carbonation, light body, clean and refreshing 4
O – An interesting beer I recommend trying. Nearly added my thought that I would like a bit more caramel malt profile… but didn’t because then this light very drinkable APA that was a curve ball for me would be different. I believe this would be a good session beer for friends that may not all be beer lovers. 4

A: Pours a hazy light orange color with some amber hues. Provides a loose off-white foam head with moderate retention. Provides ample amounts of lacing.

S: Truly the most disappointing part of this brew. Chilled and warmed there was not much going on. Some light grassy hops, wet hay and maybe some toast.

T: Starts off with a light pale hoppy taste. Some grassy hops. In the middle there is some caramel and toast malt flavor. On the back end there is some wet hay flavor that really takes away from the balance in the middle.

M: A medium bodied beer that leaves a slightly bitter taste on the palate. On the top of the mouth there is also a slight wet hay taste. Not overly appealing.

O: The beer started out alright but for me went downhill fast for me. Not much smell and the wet hey taste was not expected for this pale ale.

Got this through beer of the month club. I must admit I was somewhat skeptical of this "extra pale ale," as I'm not sure what that means.

A- gold color with solid retention and good lacing.

S- nice citrus hop smell...orange/tangerine. Slight touch of grapefruit.

T- very light and hop forward. Enough malt to keep it from being "hop juice" but very light, if sierra Nevada were to make a light version of SNPA this is what it would taste like. Not a bad thing at all.

M- light. Appropriately so. Low abv requires it. Not overly carbonated.

O- good beer. I wish they would make light beers that tasted like this. I might buy them.

Pours hazed and dull light yellowy amber, off white head, shows moderate stayage, then leaves a decent looking fine collar, low sheeting and bits of lace.

Malty and floral nose.

Notes of caramel malts, flowery hops, with a dry finish.

Nothing special, just a decently hopped and smooth drinking pale ale. Respectable and servicable sessioner.

Bottled June 29, 2011

A: Pale amber with good head and lots of lacing.

S: Citrus (mostly orange) and resinous hops dominate, but there is also some grain.

T: Again, the hops dominate, but there is still some bready malt in there too. The hops have a floral aspect in addition to the citrus.

M: Pretty thin.

O: This is a solid but, with the following exception, an otherwise unremarkable hoppy pale ale. This beer stands out because of the low abv, and it is quite tasty for a low abv American beer.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Bottled on July 29, 2011.

Appearance: Slightly hazy pale gold with thin creamy head and faint lacing.

Smell: Spicy floral aroma with some sweet citrus.

Taste: Bready and grainy malts upfront, with light notes of grapefruit, orange, lemon and herbs. Light bitterness.

Feel: Moderate carbonation, light but firm body with a dry finish. Feels like an English Bitter.

Overall: Nice, subtle cross between an APA and an English Bitter. Very mild, but balanced and refreshing.

Picked up a mixed sixer from the Bryce Canyon General Store (from notes)...

A: Don't know exactly... haha... drinking from a bottle in the dark at the campsite; well, managed to pour some into a bottlecap and it looks like a light orange / gold with some white fizz.

S: Mostly floral, orangey hops.

T: Not much malt; maybe some cracker; citrus hops and a touch of resin; pretty nice flavor considering the 4%.

M: A touch thin, but that's expected; crisp.

O: Very drinkable - wish something like this was available in SC (low abv, but good flavor).

Moderate head that leaves some streaky lace on the glass. Settles to a thin layer of variably sized bubbles. Gold to amber color and clear.

Prickly pine hop aroma dominates. Light grapefruit in the background. I detect no malts.

The malt shows up in the flavor but this is still a tale of the bittering hops. Less resiny than the smell, more white pepper, especially in the swallow. The aftertaste is surprisingly short-lived. Decent body.

Light fizzy fluffy head sticks around for a while, light lacing, crystal clear golden pilsner color with lots of bubbles rising.

Nose brings some light noble grassy hops, very light crisp ale malts, slight hay like straw.

Taste starts with a bready malt, much maltier than I expected, grainy malts, light hay and straw rustic taste, with that is some grassy noble hops and fruity hops. Finishes semi dry and a bit crisp, malty grainy flavors lingering and light hops.

Moth is med bodied, good carb.

Overall surprisingly decent, nothing special but I had low expectations and its pretty good. Nice hop presence, the malts are ok but get a bit too grainy.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

Look - orange-like golden color, clear, with about 2 fingers of fluffy off-white colored foam that dissipates slowly.

Smell - a little hoppy, and notes of citrus in the smell.

Taste and Mouthfeel - strong earthy taste, hoppy, but with a cereal-like hoppiness. A little odd-tasting, but not bad. Texture is nicely balanced.

Overall - an interesting beer to try. Not terribly intriguing either though. Still, worth trying!

A: The beer pours a golden orange color with a soapy white head and some spotty lacing.

S: Starts off with a really intense hop aroma of grapefruit and other citrus fruits. Hints of grass and floral notes are also present. There is a moderate breadiness, but unfortunately also a little bit of butter.

T: Floral hops with a nice grapefruit bite up front. A touch of orange peel which adds to the moderate bitterness of the beer. Toasted malts and bread give a decent amount of sweetness.

M: Medium in body with a moderate to high carbonation.

O: Thought this was a pretty good beer overall. Pretty light and easy to drink pale ale.

Wyld is a herbal supplement sold as an aphrodisiac in Australia. Apparently, it's also an American Pale Ale from Salt Lake City. Well, let's see if this one gets my motor running.

Pours a pale golden colour, light for a pale ale, although perfectly reasonable all the same. Head is filmy and large-bubbled, only forming and fizzing out in the first couple of seconds after pouring. Overall, it looks rather reminiscent of a slightly deeper coloured pale lager, and I can't say it's overall particularly appealing.

Nose oddly flexes between a type of grainy, lagery skunkiness and a lightly citric hop character. Indeed, it's not entirely unpleasant: the sweaty grain character gives it some depth beyond the hop fragrance, and the hop fragrance masks some of the more unpleasant aromas from the grain. An interesting mix.

Taste has more trouble disguising some of the very lagery grain characters, and the big smack of pungent yeast that wells up on the back. Indeed, this reminds me of some of the worst aspects of the Australian macro lager industry, with the yeastiness providing the malignant aftertaste. There are some hops, and these do lend a pleasant citrus flavour to the front, but there's little bitterness on the back to clear up the rest.

Unfortunately, it's very light overall, in flavour and in texture, meaning that the small unpleasantness gets amplified by having nothing else to hide behind.

A very average beer, and not one I'm particularly enamoured of. Suffice it to say that this is unlikely to get me revved up for a trip to the bedroom.

Poured into my Duvel Tulip.

pours a hazy yellow orange with soft white 1" head that stays laced along the outside of the glass

nice tropical type fruit smell some mango with a little bit of citrus hint.

has a weird almost soapy flavor. the smell is so better than the taste. Not terrible tasting, just not terribly exciting either.

easy drinking smooth mouthfeel with nice carbonation.

overall not a great beer or one that I would probably pick up again but its not awful either.

light amber color with a 1/2 inch dissapating head. looks very light, can tell not much malt like a west coast ipa just like i like it with a huge hop profile

A - Pours a golden copper with a nice 1/2 inch white head.

S - Bready malt, grapefruit citrus, stone fruit.

T - Sharp strawberry, peppery citrus hops, clean floral honey kissed pale malt, spiced fruit bread on the finish. Finishes crisp and very dry.

M - Moderate lively carbonation, light and crisp.

A solid Pale Ale. Clean flavors with a nice and dry finish. Highly drinkable.
