Poured from a stubby bottle into my heavy sease tulip 16 ounce glass. Clear, deep copper color topped with an off-white head of about ¾ of an inch in height from the standard pour. Retention was not that great as the head fell in just 20 or 30 seconds. But what was left behind was quite attractive, a thick coat with a few clumps of big bubbles held together by small hills of foam. There was also a decent lacing as tall as the head was.
Aroma is caramel malt and a touch of brown sugar up front. This is balanced by a nice grapefruit and pine hop aroma. Not complex but quite balanced aroma.
Taste is very similar to the nose, with the caramel malt hitting first followed by the some piney and grapefruit hops. However, there are also some bitter green hops here as well. Bitter is not over the top, I have pale ales with more bitterness. But it is not an IPA and the level of bitterness is appropriate.
This beer has a medium body and creamy mouthfeel. However, as I swallow, the body thins out almost becoming a bit watery. Carbonation is very nice and spot on.
Very drinkable pale ale, I could easily have several of these.
Thanks For Reading
Jack

Pours an orange amber with virtually no head, and no lacing. A bit cloudy as well. Smells a bit unbalanced, too much sweet malt in the nose and not enough hops. The taste is similar. Too sweet, a bit haylike, and virtually no hop presence. I'd say the carbonation is just a tad too sharp as well. I like my pale ales a bit dryer and hoppier.

Pours a clear, copper color. 6/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, hint of honey, citrus hops, hint of earthy malt, hint of grain, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of alcohol, sweet malt, hint of pale malt, citrus hops, hint of yeast, and slight metallic. Overall, good appearance, but metallic flavor is off-putting.

Poured from a 12 fl oz bottle into a pint glass. Bottled on: 07/11/11.
Appearance: Pours a light orange amber with a thin white head.
Smell: Metallic hop aroma. Smells slightly bready with a touch of caramel.
Taste: Slightly bitter upfront. Taste borders on apple juice. Not a ton of flavor. If anything, a malt forward APA.
Mouthfeel: Very thin and watery. Not a lot of carbonation and little to no aftertaste.
Overall: I've definitely had better APAs. This could use a dose of hops to give it a little more flavor and backbone. I had Uinta's Hop Notch last night and it was delicious. I was hoping for more here.

Pours a cloudy amber with a small short lived head. Aroma and Taste of sweet biscuit malt, some yeast and breadiness with some light hops and fruity notes. A medium body and moderate carbonation on the palate. Finish has a distinct sweet malt, yeasty character with some light hops and fruity notes. Overall an average easy drinking brew.

Thanks to Tom for grabbing this one for me. Date on bottle is 5/17/11, don't know if that's born on or best by. Poured into straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear amber gold color with about 1/8 inch of white head that dissipated quickly and left light lacing.
The aroma was malt forward, closer to Fat Tire than, say, Mirror Pond, with just gentle hopping in the background. There was a slight funky tang that I attributed to the yeast. The flavors were, as well, more reminiscent of an Amber than a Pale, but that can sometimes be a thin line. The beer was sweet, malty, a bit biscuity and had a gently balanced hop flavor on the finish.
The body was fuller than typical for the style, again more Amberish, and was full and smooth. Drinkability was pretty good, I could see drinking these if they were in my area.
Overall, a decent beer. Not worth a lot of effort to obtain, but worth trying if you see it, and, if you trade, asking for one bottle to try in another trade.
