Not to be confused with a German Roggenbier, beers that fall into this category contain a notable amount of rye grain in the grist bill. Bitterness tends to be moderate, to allow the often spicy and phenolic-like rye characteristics to pull through. Brewed using American hops and filtered clean.

appearance: nice copper color
smell: some decent hop aroma
taste: a good pale ale with a nice finih with the rye, decent flavor, a good session beer that could have multis
mouthfeel: light to medium bodied.
drinkability: not bad and was the best by far that I had from them this night.

Enjoyed on tap at Red Rock brewpub. Pours light amber with off-white head. Nose has light caramel and miscellaneous grains. Rye comes through on the palate, although it has a rather thin body and soda-like characteristic - the carbonation just doesn't seem right. Seems artificially sweet also. Quite watery and drinkable.

a: thin layer of white foam retainted throughout, the beer is a medium straw yellow in color
s: pale malt aromas with some dry fruity notes, lightly grassy hops, little rye aroma
m: carbonation soft and medium in level, body rides the line between light and medium
t: soft fruity flavors of pale malts dominate, though on the weak side, with not much rye character save for a faint spice, hops light and grassy, finishes dry, nothing off but lacking much personality
d: clean and sessionable at 4% abv
overall: a little weak, but considering the laws they're working with it's a pretty nice beer
standard pint at the brewpub

Served in a half liter glass at the bar in their location at Salt Lake.
Bright copper beer with virtually little head.
Aroma is soft and malty with a dry peach finish
Flavor is malty with a orange flavor and a viscous body. First real indication of obvious hops is in the finish that combines with drying properties of rye to make a long noticable finish.

Slightly hazy, light orange hue. Well retained head. Spicy aroma from the rye, and a citrusy hop nose is there as well. Rye flavor isn't as strong as the aroma indicates. Lots of bready malt flavors, while the hop bitterness is quite pronounced. Highly carbonated, prickly mouthfeel w/ a light body. Finishes dry, clean, & a touch bland. Although not outstanding, this is an excellent thirst quencher.
