Pours brown with a fading head.
Nose shows apricots, caramel, figs, honey, coconut. Really interesting stuff.
More apricot flavours as well along with the oaky coconut notes and a bit of pine and grapefruit. Quite sweet.
Great moderately high carbonation.

Hazy golden brown colour with a nice big head. Decent head retention but poor clarity.

Interesting combination of citrussy aroma hop and spicy alcohol. A little fruity and some nice caramel malts. Even a touch of stonefruit.

Nice flavour. Interesting balance of malt and hop with the hops being a nice balance of citrus and tropical fruit. The spicy alcohols add depth and the extra special ingredients add some depth that I love.

Medium body with moderately-high carbonation. Good.

A really solid beer. Excellent flavour with a nice balance of bitterness, hop, malt, tannin and a range of other things going on.

On-tap at the Italian SpecTapular festival put on by the Local Taphouses.

Solid amber hue with some decent hazing to the body. Weight is solid and full. Head forms a firm, pocked crown of creamy off-white, almost tending towards yellow. Lace is full and big. Looks great.

Mild sweet hops on the nose lend fruitiness laced with toffee from the solid malty body. The two ends blend together well, but they don't create much conflict and complexity. The only other character to jump out is a later effect of brusque grain. Otherwise, it feels a bit one-dimensional.

Light mild fruity hops again at the start of the taste, that develop into a pithy fragrance mid-palate. Malt comes through giving some solid sweetness, developing to a biting grain character on the back which clears out the sweetness. It's nicely balanced and rather pleasant.

Feel is smooth but with weight and solidity behind it.

Yep, this is nice beer. Well-balanced and easy to drink. This was one of the better beers on offer on the day.

Pours a dark copper/amber color with golden orange edges and a three finger frothy beige head that slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Sporadic spots of lace left behind.

Slightly earthy, musty aroma with resinous, grassy pine, earthy oak and sweet malts. Hints of caramel, toffee, hazelnut and bread underneath the hop presence. Somewhat floral with too strong of a malt character fir my liking. There’s also some musty funk and something else I can’t put my finger on. Possibly the champagne yeast.

Medium bodied with a dry, earthy hop presence that lingers over the sweet malt and barrel character into a bone dry finish. Resinous and sticky with a very dry, tongue-coating hop presence. Kind of a one dimensional hop character with soily, dry bitterness. This is countered by more dry oak and some sweet malt, notably caramel and toffee. The champagne yeast and barrel aging change up the flavor a bit from the base beer but it’s still very dry and unappealing to me.
