375 bottle shared by a couple of people. Served in snifter glasses. Writing based on ~3-week-old notes.

A: No head; slightly lighter than amber, mostly clear.

S: Raspberries and tomato juice.

T: Slight sourness, and lots of raspberry flavor (which, in turn, combines with the sourness for the tomato-ish flavor). Very interesting.

M: Thin/watery, highly drinkable. No carbonation.

O: Unique. Should be a treat for raspberry fans.

On tap at Blue Monk. Pours pinkish with a wisp on head. Sour aroma with a drop of brett. A full mouthfeel is striking from the first sip until the palate gets used to the frontal attack of the raspberries, malt, and enzmes. Very nicely drinkable, a deep taste of raspberry thoroughness and fruit sugar. This is the real thing.

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Pasadena, CA.

Pours a hazy orange-red with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and slightly funky with raspberry and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour raspberry flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows raspberry, soft funk, light clean malt. Delectable.
More raspberry as a flavour, along with a fair bit of acidity. Well balanced though with some light malt underneath.
Could use more carbonation.

A: The beer is clear light yellowish amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short head consisting of large bubbles that gradually died down and left a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of raspberries are present in the nose along with some notes of sourness.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is mostly filled with flavors of sour raspberries. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that this beer did a really good job of balancing the tartness and sweetness of raspberries with the sourness. The raspberry aromas and flavors become a little more dominant as the beer warms up, but it still remains very drinkable.

750ml classically odd-shaped BdB bottle purchased from Slowbeer in Melbourne.

Pours a full pinkish amber colour, with the pink washing out and disappearing when held to the the light. Head forms a fine film, but dissipates to a ring of white after a brief period. Some streaks of fine lace. Carbonation is also very fine, and abundant when tilted. Looks pretty decent.

Nose is powerfully flavoured with raspberries, with the fruitiness coming through really very strongly. Under this is a suggestion of funky acidity, and perhaps a faint wet grain character, but there's no question: the "lamponi" provide the bulk of the aroma here.

Taste is not so straight, but doesn't really intrigue me with its complexities. Instead, we get more of that slight wet grain character, and more of the real funk, both of which obscure and confuse the purpose of the beer a bit. There's some true tartness on the back, but by then the grainy character has come forward, meaning that instead of the fresh citric bite that might have accompanied it, the tartness accentuates a harshness.

Feel is clear and crisp, and with a pleasant bite at least.

Overall, this is fair enough, but I've had better from BdB. This feels a bit slapdash—like adding raspberries to a beer that was disappointing as a straight wild ale was going to mask the fact that it was disappointing.

A: Pours a lightly hazy golden orange to ruby red in color with a glow when held up to the light and moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall fizzy (soda-like) light beige head that quickly reduces to a medium sized patch of extremely thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of raspberry (fresh) with some barnyard funkiness and just a hint of sourness. There are also some very light vinous notes and just a hint of vinegar.

T: There is a light amount of barnyard funk flavor upfront with a significant amount of fresh raspberry flavors. Some notes of vinous and vinegar hints but not overly sour but just a little hint of tartness.

M: Slightly more than light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin with some light amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: Not as much complexity as I was hoping for but this is a very enjoyable and easy to drink. I think that this is pretty approachable for a wild ale but I personally like them a little funkier and a little more sour. I would have this one again - enjoyed that the rasberries have a real natural flavor (not artificial or overly sweetened).

Draft at Open Baladin Roma in Rome, Italy.

Pours a bright ruby red color with a pinkish off-white head that slowly fades into a lastig ring. Chunks of soapy lacig left behind. Not the best color but still looks pretty nice.

Subtle funk in the nose but aroma of this beer is just bursting with fresh juicy raspberries. It's so prominent that it seems almost artificial like a syrup was used. It's also a bit seedy and all of the raspberry character starts to overpower the other notes. Still, it smells really good.

Thinner bodies than expected and unfortunately doesn't lie upto the nose. Slightly tart and funky but not very sour or acidic. Again, the raspberries dominate the flavor and the result is a lot of overwhelming sweetness. Sutle earthy funk but tastes more like a dessert drink.
