Deep and dark auburn, this had little head and lace. I was not quite sure what to make of it at first. Double the rye? Double IPA? Double all of it?
What ever it was supposed to be, this was much closer to what I wanted in a rye beer than the regular Ruthless Rye. The spice from rye stays mild while the malt and body give it plenty of backing and balance. Alcohol was hardly apparent considering, and could get dangerous.

On tap at source.
A - deep auburn with slight off-white head. Low carbonation good lacing.
S - caramel malts, dark fruit maybe apricot dominates aroma. Some light n notes of piny hops.
T - caramel and bitter resin-like hops, followed by crispness and imparted bitterness og rye grain.
M - slight malt domination, very full and rich body. No astringency that could stick out with so much rye.
D - good, but could not drink more than ten oz in front of me. Very rich.
