Had this on tap at the Russian River brewpub.

Pours a hazy golden color, with a wispy, tight packed head. It doesnt last long but leaves plenty of lace behind. The aroma is pretty subdued with some brett barnyard, some bicuity malt and a bit of tartness. The taste is sour but in a much more restrained way than the other RR sour ales. Funkyness from the brett is less concentrated than I was expecting. The mouthfeel light bodied with a nice medium carbonation. The finish is minerally and tart with some leathery funk. Alcohol is incredibly well hidden throughout.

An excellent Wild Ale, but a little restrained. Some age will probably really open this up.

After a real champagne pop from the cork this pours a radiant yellow, cloudy, with a bumptious head that settles down quickly to a cap. Minimal lacing. On the nose it’s heavenly sweet, brett, funky with a strong biscuit malt character underneath and a little tart breath from the grassy hops. On the palate it’s smooth despite the heavy carbonation. It’s got orange, a little medicinal alcohol and a sour bite that’s alive and dry. Good balance between the sweet nose and the dry drinking. Truly wild and fabulous.
