Served in a FFF shaped-glass.

A: Poured out a crystal clear, solid gold color with a finger or so frothy white head that clung to the glass and then some. About as pilsener-esque and you can get appearance-wise.

S: Sweet bready malts, with a touch of bread yeast thrown in for safe measure. Really good!

T: Straight forward German malt component which is great. The sweetness is definitely in the "American" end of the spectrum, but I still dug it.

M: Not syrupy, and the sweetness was played very well with the German contribution hitting all the right notes. The lacing was ridiculous.

O: The style concept "Imperial Pilsener" has always been an anomile to me. Isn't a pilsener supposed to be crisp and something you can drink a lot of? Nevertheless, this was a nice example of the style. One more note: I wouldn't consider a brew clocking in at only 5.6% "Imperial."

A- Clear golden yellow body and a white foam cap of head. Constant stream of bubbles.

A- Clean malt light grassy hops.

T- Grainy sweet malt with a light bitterness that comes through more and sticks around in the finish. Not much in the way of hop flavor.

M- Medium body and smooth with an appropriate level of carbonation.

D- It's not bad, but there are better pilsners out there.

Poured this 12 oz. into a Samuel Adams glass. 2012 Beer Camp release (from notes). The body was straw colored and clear. The head was thin and bright white.

The smell was grainy. Hay. Sulfur. Skunky in a good, noble hops way. Subtle aromas.

The taste was intense noble hops! bold and grainy. Really leafy and fresh.

The mouthfeel was medium bodied and carbonated. Very good.
