Quick Hits!

Pours a body the color of Mr. Pibb. Medium-dark brown w/ plenty of red inflected throughout. Two fingers of soft, soapy white head form on top w/ more than adequate spindles of lace. Very nice.

Disappointing aroma. I'm getting almost nothing from the nose. There's a chalky sort of browned malt note along with a twinge of hops. That's it, though. It seems to smell good on one of every ten whiffs. That's not good enough.

Tumbler tastes much better, however. A nice, uncomplicated nutty malt flavor - brown sugar and spice cake, too - mix well with an assertive, clear & bitter hop presence. Not too terribly imbalanced. Tastes good regardless.

Nice, solid motuhfeel. I say this because I don't notice it much. The carbonation level is active but not assertive. Body is medium-light; seems appropriate. It goes down very smoothly and the ABV% is more than agreeable.

I'm not much a brown ale person. This is one of the nicer ones I've come across for my tastes. Recommended.
