A: Off-white 1-finger head that falls to a thin layer of foam. Dark clear brown color. Mild lacing.

S: Malty, sweet and rich, like whole wheat biscuits and fresh baked bread. A slight cider scent, very mildly buttery. Smells homey and comfortable, relaxing like a calm living room fire.

T: Caramel and malt all the way with a hint of nuttiness. It has some of that cider tang. A bitterness in the end that seems suggestive of both certain malts as well as hop presence.

M: Somewhat thin at first but the body builds as you sip. Seems strange, but it does. Carbonation is a bit harsh for the laid back richness of the flavor.

O: A not disappointing beer but not as outright satisfying as some of SN’s other offerings. I think it would be a much nicer ale if it were bottle-conditioned and/or offered on nitro.

A-pour is a very dark amber , very murky , with a medium size tan head leaving a streaky lace ring along the pint glass

S-harvest time

T-mild tasting even for a brown ale , no wow factor

MF-medium body , medium carbonation , tad dull

Ov-ok beer , it was an impulse buy , lesson learned
