Poured into my HB hefe glass from 750mL bottle
Been waiting to try this for a while and this will decide weather i grab three more for aging ;-)
A-Pours Jet black without the slightest trace of light getting through. Has about 3/4 inch mocha head that is comprised of tons of tiny sudsy bubbles. Its clinging to the glass with all its effort and holding very strong. Lace looks like textbook actual lace. This thing looks amazing and after two minutes the head has gone down 1/8 of an inch and the lace is almost impossible to see through. FLAWLESS.
-after about 15 minutes the lace is still holding and the head is reduced to an 1/8 of an inch
S-A few whiffs gives me some light bittersweet chocolate maybe even hints of roasted coffee. No hops to report or any off smells. Does seem a little weak though Ill let it warm for a bit and see... As it warms these flavors become more apparent
T-Tastes full of bursting dark chocolate and roasted black coffee. For sure a dry taste but extremely long lasting flavor. Not an extreme amount of complexity here really either but it has amazing taste that sticks with you for a minute and when it departs it only leaves you wanting more.
M-Through the roof on this one.A perfect balance of silky smooth and lushness with a perfect shot of carbonation that lets you know its there but in now way detracts from the beer.Could be a little bigger and thicker though and there is a drying aspect at the end of each sip but this is rectified by taking another sip. Repeat.
D- This one is super super tasty. I can also feel the abv as the first glass comes to an end and the second is on its way. All together an amazing option for a delicious full flavored stout that is not barrel aged or brewed with coffee or whatnot. Just good solid fulfilling stout.

Poured from a corked and caged bottle into a Duvel tulip
A- pours black with a one finger dark brown head. The head is solid and sticks around for a decent bit of time, gorgeous looking beer
S- getting some light char, modest chocolate, solid roast. Not bad, just not overly pronounced
T- nice mix of both sweet and bitter chocolate coming through, with some solid roast and slight char. No heat or booze at all. Overall, pretty tame, but solid
M- pretty big body, very thick. Loving it
O- really solid imperial stout. Doesn't kick you in the face with huge flavors, but just very well-balanced and nice to drink
