Appearance is copper or bronze with an average-sized head that fades after a few minutes. Some lacing on the glass, but not much. Scents are typical for an IPA - a nice fruit cocktail smell of grapefruit, ripe pear, and a touch of pine.
Torpedo is an appropriate name for this beer, because it is a huge explosion of hops. The taste is all hops from start to finish - grapefruit flavors dominate, with a slight piney taste mixed in that's not overpowering. There might be a touch of breadiness in there too, but the hops are the focus. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with some pricklyness on the tongue. A really tasty beer, and a hop-head's dream.
