Purchased from Trader Joe's. Pours a black body with a thick tan head. Aroma is of earthy, roasted malts. Full bodied with medium carbonation and a chewy mouthfeel. Flavors are roasted malts, coffee and bitter chocolate. Still one of the best stouts out there.

-Appearance: Black in a pint glass, gray-ish white head. Leaves a scarce lacing but shimmers and dissipates nicely! Fun to look at.

-Smell: sweet malt, a bit nutty

-Taste: a bold malty flavor, semi bitter sweet chocolate and a hit of coffee.

-Feel: Eaaasy, but satisfying. I was going to say I wish it had more body but I resigned that thought, it was great! Smooth but stuck on my tongue like "hey fool, you know you wanna take another sip".

I quite enjoyed this, I would give this to a friend as an introduction stout, easy to drink with a full flavor. Thanks Sierra Nevada.
