Pure amber maple syrup from Critz' Farms in Cazenovia rounds out the flavor of this traditional Dry Porter. It has a subtle aroma of maple syrup and just the right amount of sweetness.

Very maple syrup. Maple syrup sweet aromas. The taste contains some burnt parts. The mouthfeel is medium, lactose, sugary. Overall a little annoying. Dark colour with off-white head, with lace. Constructive: more porter with th maple syrup in the secondary.

Dark body with a slim, tan head of big, lazy cask pumped bubbles.

The aroma has some roasted character and a touch of maple, but mostly it is smoky.

The maple here is an afterthought; the smoke dominates this as roasted malt hides in the background. The finish has a touch of maple syrup in the back.

Mouthfeel is a little thick for the style/ABV.

OK drinkability at best, too much smoke dominates everything else for me.
