Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #54 (July 2011):
Love the beers that throw style guidelines out the window. Some sediment on the bottom of the bottle, which we added a few drops into our sample. Pale yellow color with some yeasty haze and a good amount of lace. Clean graini- ness, dried grass, lemony herbal hop and a touch of yeast in the nose. Clean, dry malt palate on a dainty, smooth body. Hops are more flavor-forward than bitter; heavy tone of wild herbs compliments the dryness of the malt. Bit of yeast, though still very clean. This one screams “session beer”—a great pick for something light yet still packed with flavor.

So light, so refreshing, crisp, clean, and clear- the beer is less "God" like and more "Goddess" in its tone.
Built upon German underpinnings, its aroma shines with a mostly clear straw color that highlights its lively carbonation. Lightly headed, the beer sheds its foam structures onto the glass with broken rings of lace. Bright white froth towers over a modestly hazy body.
Grainy sweet to start, the beer's ale-lager dichotomy plays out on a bed of lightly kilned barley for an aroma and taste that's largely Pilsner-like. But then its those strong citrusy, grassy, and light piney hops that give away its American hop influences. If not for the hop contributions, the beer could have been sold as a Kolsch-style ale. Light grapefruit and citrus peels speak otherwise and twist into a lightly herbal finish of pine needles and fresh-cut grass.
Crisp and clean from head to toe, the ale plays nicely on the palate as the carbonation pushes the grain sweetness into a snappy and terse finish. Lightly astringent with the bite of hop leaf, the ale is otherwise dry, refreshing, and highly drinkable.
Yea, any beer named "Beer of the Gods" has be be masculine, dominant, and gentlemanly. High & Mighty's version is just to timid even though her finesse and delicate nature is charming.

Drank on-tap at Flatbread Company, Somerville, MA
Served in a pint glass
Crystal clear golden appearance. The liquid was topped by a thin film of white froth that quickly dissolved.
The nose was incredibly mild. Initially, I had a very difficult time picking up anything. As the beer warmed, subtle notes of pale malts and hints of sulfur came forth.
The flavor profile had a lot more going on than the nose. Husky grains and biscuity malts appeared on the front end. Touch of sulfur. Some lemony tartness appeared in the center. The finish was punchy and quite hoppy for the style. Earthy, noble hops contributed a significant amount of bitterness.
Decent mouthfeel for the style. Medium bodied with a crisp, fine and sprightly effervescence. The liquid was quite soft and pillowy.
This is perhaps the most commonly found session beer at better beer bars in the Boston-area, and there is good reason for that. Though rather simple in nature, Beer Of The Gods is immensely quaffable and would make for a terrific summer quencher.

German Pilsner..
Pale straw gold with a slight haze, otherwise pretty nice clarity. Initial head of foam was a finger or two, billowing up and settling after a god while. Lots of delicate spindly lace in the glass.
Soft aromas of crackery pale malt and grassy earthy noble hops, vague lemon pith. Flavor is crisp and lightly bitter, earthy hop flavors and mild lemon pith again lending bitterness and citrus essence. Light bodied with ample carbonation, highly drinkable. Pairs well with many types of food and social situations. Simplicity is vastly underrated these days.
