very friendly staff that are willing to help you find what you are looking for. And youll need the help since the store is so immense. Lots of specialty beers and unique gift sets as well. The best beer selection in town for my moneys worth. plenty of liquor and wine if your in the mood for that as well. My store of choice if i want to get beer other than the usual bud, coors or miller. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is willing to look into ordering different kinds of beers if they dont currently stock them.

Been there a few times now and I like the selection. The prices are maybe a bit higher, but not by much. The store is quite vast with lots of space. The beer is on the right with lots of floor displays and cooler space.
You can find all the local Alaskan beers here as well as other domestics that are sent to Alaska. Good selection of imports as well. Some imports here you will not find elsewhere. One unique thing you will find here is a decent selection of beer glasses.
Staff always asks if you need any help. Cashiers are friendly.

A large place that one can spend a lot of time in. They have a wide variety of products, beer and otherwise. Interestingly enough, as you go in, the beer coolers are essentially the right wall of the store and most of the BMC products are way in the back. They have quite a few local things, nearly all of the Alaskan Brewing products, and a good number of imports and other micros. Your better northwestern breweries are well represented.
The service staff is friendly too be sure, very pleasant, and I haven't had a bad experience with them. They do, however, rely on the customer knowing what the customer wants. The staff doesn't seem to know much about any of the beers, but is more than willing to help you find them.
Overall, this is a good/great place in town for the customer who knows what they want. For a new-to-craft customer, the large quantity of beer, with little guidance may prove challenging.

Gold rush is a huuuuggggeee liquor supermarket. The beer selection is similar to that at the brown jugs. all most mainstream belgians and some more exclusive ones. There is next to know service and the clerks cant even pronounce any beer from outside the country. If you asked them for anything in the world beers section, they will walk over there and look for it one row at a time so you might as well do it yourself. They are unfamiliar with their prices. And the clerks are unbearably oblivious to life in general. the store is mostly filled with wine racks and liquor bottles. but they have a good beer section. The only place in town with boon and leifmans lambics. Good stock in ommegang, fish tale, micros, and locals. and always have the full unibroue line. good selection, but you should know your beer if you go here as you will not get any worthwhile help.
