Bomber served cold into a goblet on what might just be the last warm day of autumn.
Possibly one of the worst labels I've ever seen. Give me a pretty picture, not a QR code. Just saying...
Opens with a very loud hiss. Pours a very pale yellow color with huge towering white head. I may need to take a walk and come back to this.
Aroma is enjoyable with a funky yeast and elements of lemon and cake. Maybe lemon cake.
Flavor is sweet, then tart, and finishes dry. That pretty much sums it up. There are subtle nuances of lemon, spice, yeast, and floral qualities. It never overwhelms but also never grows dull.
Mouthfeel is very light in body and nicely carbonated. Crisp and easy drinking.
In terms of being both light and complex, it's one of the best American beers I've had that manages to achieve both.

Pale straw color with a huge agressive head. The head was thin but tall, somewhat like steamed milk froth.
The smell is straw, wheat lemon, and piercing ammonia.
The lemon dominates the flavor and it has a sour tartness to it. The wheat is also front and center along with hay.
Mouthfeel is on the light side of moderate, same goes for the carbonation.
It's a pretty good beer and a nice, light, easy drinker. This would be a great summer beer, but I enjoyed it with a fire anyway.

thanks to ablackshear for this awesome extra! This beer has been a longtime want!
poured into crooked stave tulip.
Appearance: Pale straw yellow bodied beer with thin white cap. Head quickly drops to no head at all.
Smell: Hay and wheat malts. Lemons and mild lactic sourness. An odd smell of concentrated urine(I work in the healthcare field, so I know the smell very well)
Taste: Nice malty wheat and hay notes. Lemons, hint of oranges, and some lactic sourness just like the nose. Really light funk and yeast notes.
Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with carbonation levels on the low end of moderate. A delicate / soft carbonation. The bubbles seem to come alive on your tougue, really nice mouthfeel. This beer is sooo drinkable. Semi dry finish and it has clean and bright characteristics as well.
Overall: A drinkable and flavorful Berliner Weissbier. Pretty straight forward beer for the style. The beer doesnt look that great and the urine smell in the nose I really dont care for, but the taste and mouthfeel on this beer really make this beer awesome! Really glad that I finally got to try this beer!

Thanks to Denverbeerdrinker for this gem as an extra.
Fizzy cap of white head rises over a cider colored body. Very carbonated, you can hear the crackle. Lots of yeast, opaque. Good retention and even leaves spots of lacing on the glass, impressive.
Hay, lemon juice acidity, vinegar, a bit of yeasty must. Uplifting and bright, balance of hints of sour and aromatic grain.
A mix of lemon juice and slight wheat, up front that evolves with hay, white wine, vinegar and funk. A zesty tartness, I get a slight twinge of metallic with a mild nuttiness and the acidity makes the mouth water, then it's gone. Scrubbed perfectly clean, dries well. Complex and refreshing.
Crisp and an absolute joy to drink, the yeast never weighs this one down and the finish and mouthfeel are all perfect. Why didn't I wait until summer to crack this one open instead?
Wow, incredible berliner weissbier. Snappy, crisp and refreshing. Mixes complexity, balancing sour, funk and grassy elements. I wish I had another.

Had this on tap at the Falling Rock taphouse in Denver (after trying to order 3-4 different beers they had listed, but were 'out' of). Got a hazy yellow beer, plenty of cloudiness to it, looked the part, soft .5" head on it, bright white.
Aroma, man, this should have been called belgo weisse, because it smells a lot like a standard belgian yeast moreso than anything that would come from Germany or a reproduction of a German style. Really annoying I thought, not enjoyable to get the band aid esters and soggy wood funk.
Taste, still kinda mucked up by the belgian flavors, instead of being able to get a mouthfull of tart wheat, its like a mouthful of Belgo yeast over and over. The tartness is appreciable, and once you kind of get adjusted to what was kind of palate shock, the beer becomes less oppressive, and actually enjoyable. But I dunno, its kind of like being in a room where someone farted, stick around long enough, and you won't notice the smell as much.
If its worth anything, my girlfriend liked hers more than I did. Just too perfumy and belgiany for my tastes.

22oz. bottle poured into a tulip. Thanks for sharing Matt!
(A)- Pours a pale hazy yellow color. Some white froth & lace too.
(S)- A mildly dry cotton-like funk with bits of lemon & wheat.
(T)-A nice drying crispness with a kiss of lemon and wheat in the background. Just tart enough to blend it all together.
(M)- A nice carbonation level and balance. Clean & crisp with a refreshing feel and subtle wheat & fruit.
(O)- A lovely berliner weiss. Super easy drinking; crisp and refreshing. All the reasons why I love this style and wish more brewers did them. The perfect summer beer.
