12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Best Enjoyed Before: May 2012.
Appearance: Lightly hazy, dusky yellow in appearance with a slender, rather short-lived, white head.
Smell: Fairly sweetish aroma, lightly tart Red Delicious apples, with a generous blend of cinnamon and sugar and little, trifling hints of toast and bread.
Taste: Sweet, faintly biscuity pale maltiness with a thin, thin toasted edge to it. Sugary apples tossed with powdered cinnamon. Low hop character, bitterness. Flavors converge to form a taste of apple tart, Apple Jacks cereal, or apples & cinnamon oatmeal -- take your pick. Lightly tart, sweetish end.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Akin to their Pumpkinhead, as I'm sure anybody could guess (as well as my morningtime oatmeal), though carrying across more of its namesake flavoring. Refreshing and fairly light in alcohol, it delivered what I expected from it.

The beer pours a golden color with a 1/2" fizzy white head that quickly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a sweet, apple pie aroma that boasts of pale malts and a good deal of apple character. The taste is average. It has a light, pale and wheat malt flavor along with a somewhat artificial apple pie taste. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate/good carbonation. This is an interesting beer that's worthy as a rotating seasonal.

An apple-cinnamon wheat? Not sure what to expect. Here goes...
A: Pours a crystal-clear, light orange with a half-finger of white head.
S: Cinnamon up front, with apple and wheat backing. Smells like a cinnamon apfelwine, with a subtle toasted malt. Loads of plum and raisin, but overall too much spice.
T: Dry, crisp, and it tastes like apple jacks cereal. Slightly sweet. Finishes with a hint of flowery hops.
M: Dry, crisp, with a medium body.
Overall, this beer's just okay. If you love wheat beers and spiced beers, this is right up your alley. The spice smell is a little unbalanced, and the flavor is mostly wheat, with just a hint of fruit.
Personally, I like apple-cinn things to be sweet, and just as Applejacks (cereal) isn't quite sweet enough to satisfy, I get the same overall feel from Applehead. Not that I would want this beer to be overly sweet, but the flavor is just underwhelming.

Serving type: Samuel Adams perfect pint glass
Smell: Lots of apple and spice notes with a slight breadyness almost like a pie crust
Mouthfeel: Thin but not too thin very high carbonation making it really refreshing
Taste: There’s no bitterness in this beer, on the forefront of the pallet is the apple and spice notes followed by a almost apple pie crust taste( created by the wormwood yeast that ship yard uses)
Overall: a very refreshing session-able beer. it would pare great with bratwurst defiantly one of my favorite shipyard beers
