Utterly not impressed.

Pours a clear golden honey color. Not much head and a bit of lace. Nothing extra special about the appearance of this IPA. Scents are mild and nice. Some grain, barley and hops with a good balance on the nose.

Flavor? Whoops. I missed something. I don't mind an IPA not being a hop monster. In fact I enjoy English IPAs which are not as hoppy as our American versions, and I enjoy some of our American IPAs that are not bursting with hops or bitterness. This is a strange IPA in my opinion. It is more like a lager. I am not knocking lagers when I state that. It just does not taste like an IPA to me. Grains are the main flavor. Wheat and some hops give a taste here and there. Not much malt back bone and the mild flavors that appear are unbalanced. A clove taste is the final flavor left on the palatte.

Mouthfeel is weak and watery. It drinks easy because there is not much to this IPA. It is just too simple. An IPA for those who do not like IPAs.

Pours a cloudy copper, with a nice large head and attractive lace. Good beginning.

Nose is floral and perfumey, and not too impressive.

Taste is hoppy but very mild. Brewed with Fuggles hops, this is an English-style IPA, and would easily pass for an American pale ale. Certainly not in the bigger, hop-bomb-style of most modern American IPAs, though. Easily session-worthy, but definitely a disappointment for an IPA nowadays.
