Good taste for such high alcohol content.
Nice coppery color.
Less spicy to my taste.

Have tasted pumpkin ales much more spicy than this one. That to me is a drawback.

I like it for its alcohol content and mild taste.

A bit of sweetness as well but that is so typical of pumpkin ales.

Not at all a value for the cost of the bomber.

Little larger head compared to other pumpkin ales.

As suggested by others, better than normal pumpkin ale from shipyard.

Note - Pumpkin Ales are not for me. So it is a bit negatively biased but still scores well over others that i have had.

On draft at The Lark, East Northport, NY.

Poured a shiny brass hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and little lacing.

The smell was akin to gingerbread.

The taste consisted of an earthy sweetness, with waves of nutmeg and ginger.

The mouthfeel was full and chewy.

Overall a pretty nice imperial pumpkin.
