Served in a pint glass.

Appearance: Straight amber, light bubbles on the frame, with an initial head that is maybe 1/4" white right off the body.

Smell: light hops coming strong at first bit dissipates little quickly. Floral scent is there before taking a sip.

Taste: little bitter and and has a piney feel to it that will make IPA lovers appreciate a good brew. To call this an amber is just a compliment, it is very close if not already an IPA.

Mouth: medium to heavy carbonation, floral after taste just resets your palates after the first sip.

Overall: for what it's advertised it can be so much more. But still a very good brew and will buy again if I see. Salud!

Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a pint glass. Pours medium dark amber with fluffy persistent white foam. Firm malty hop nose. Notes of pine. Taste is an interesting hop/malt blend. Really laces. Bready and earthy - buttery at times. Feels a tad glommed together.

Surprised I haven't had this one till today. Rather exceptional amber ale.

A - Pours a golden amber body. The head is fairly sticky with some good lacing.

S - The summit hops really shine on this one. Underlining bready and toasted malts.

T - First thing that comes to mind is how clean and balanced the hops are. They never really get too bitter but they don't blow your mind like a wet hop ale. Bready malts are light but provide for a semi-sweet finish. Surprisingly good.

M - Light to medium on par for the style. Could have sworn the ABV was a tad higher.

Overall peak really isn't the first name on my beer favorites (right now being founders damn their harvest ale is amazing) but it's a damn fine crafted beer that calls for seconds.

12oz bottle served in a glass beer mug.

L - clear copper color with a beige head that stayed around and left a good sheet of lacing.

S - bready and earthy.

T - caramel sweetness with a light kick of earthy hop bitterness mixed in.

F - medium bodied with a smooth, drinkable feel.

O - a decent amber ale.

12oz into a red wine glass

Review right from the glass.

Pours a copper red with thin head that foams nicely around the glass with large bubbles and islands of film across the top.

Smells of toasted malts, carmel and toffee with nice citrusy and pine hop aroma, full on but not complex.

Tastes of pine hops with carmalized malt backbone, a bit of citrus comes through with a mid palate bitter and a hint of onion. A touch of dry soot on the finish with light dry citrus bitter lingering.
Light carbonation makes this drink almost like a cask conditioned ale.

Best before 4/2013.

Pours a clear dark orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, onions, and lots of earthy and herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with a very earthy and dirt-like flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of herbal hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp but medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty average beer based on taste alone with no real stand out flavors.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a Samuel Adams pint glass. Purchased at Wakefield Liquors in Wakefield, RI

A - Crystal clear amber, big 3" head with medium-low retention. Nice lacing

S- Almost smells like an IPA. Hoppy, citrusy, nutty. Complex and inviting.

T- Sweet caramel malt upfront, nice hoppy, piney aftertaste. Well balanced and tasty

M- Medium feel, medium carbonation.

Overall, a unique and complex fall brew. Nice balance of caramel malt and hops. Must try

A: The beer is crystal clear copper in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high dense off white head that hardly died down and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: There are bright aromas of citrusy hops in the nose along with some hints of pine resin. There are some hints of the underlying toasted malts.
T: Like the smell, the overall taste is dominated by the hops and has flavors of citrus and notes of pine resin, the latter of which seems to linger through the finish. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this to be a very enjoyable, drinkable and well-balanced beer. The hop aromas and flavors really set this apart from other beers in the style.

A: Pours a clear amber to garnet red in color with light to moderate amounts of gentle visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall beige head that slowly reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a medium sized slightly thicker patch and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of toasted and caramelized malts with a nice citrus and spicy hop aroma.

T: The flavors of the citrus and spicy hops with light bitterness come out upfront followed the toasted and caramelized malts. There is a light amount of nuttiness and the finish is lightly sweet.

M: Medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: This is an enjoyable beer that is easy to drink - a good beer for the autumn, as the weather cools.

A. A rusty bronze color, semi-clear, there were tons of tiny bubbles, a nice foamy tan head, with good lacing.

S. Lovely fruity malt scent.

T. A very nice malt flavor, a rye-ish undertone, There's a hint of dark fruit very faint.

M. Smooth with an ever-so slight tingle.

O. It has a very nice oktoberfest feel to it. A bit lacking on flavor, but refreshing.
