The colour is deep brown (80 EBC), the liquid is clear. The two finger head is brown and compact. It sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell is smooth with some black malt sourness. Cereals, roasted nuts, Charcoal, cream candy, more nuts and a delicate bitterness. Solid.
The taste is a bit sweet in the beginning. Then, roasted/toasted/burned flavours kick in. Some black malt sourness, and fruity hints of plums and cherry jam. The body is light. The aftertaste got a subtle clean bitterness, some creamy notes of black malt and a fine sweetness with some caramel. The finish is short with fresh bitter notes and dark chocolate.
The carbonation is medium to strong; the small bubbles are fresh almost sharp. The liquid is light and a bit dry.
You know what? I think this one would gain a lot of ½-1 year in the cellar. It is a little light and rough right now.
