not impressed with this place. I have visited several times in the last few months and have seen a steady decline even in this short time. according to a previous review, BA member SilentSabre used to work at this store and kept things fresh. unfortunatley, i never visited this place when he worked there. Here are my biggest complaints... 1-getting help from anybody in the store was pointless as they knew nothing about beer. 2-There were a lot of empty spots in the doors that, in some cases, stayed that way for weeks-on-end. 3-there was one or two surprises to be found (Tommy Knocker maple, for example) however, everything else was also available down the street at highland beverage where the owner actually KNOWS HIS BEER.
after 5 or 6 attempts to allow this place to get it's act together I will have to continue going to the two best stores in the area... highland beverage and Arbor Place.

I grew up in a place a lot like Hiram, GA. It's a place where all the rednecks can crawl out of the woods and converge on the local K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Home Depot and the like. I use redneck affectionately but you wouldn't expect this to be an area where fine taste and stores catering to an upscale, discerning audience would exist.
Enter the Hiram Bottle Shop. Generally, it's a liquor and wine spot but has a nice selection of craft brews and imports in the cooler. There is a lesser selection available at room temperature. It carries most American micros that are available locally and carries a nice swath of Belgian, British and German brews too.
The service is friendly. I don't know who the beer manager is now that fellow BA Silent Sabre has left. Hopefully the selection won't slide too badly.
There seemed to be pretty good turnover and everything that should be fresh is.
You'll do no better within a ten mile radius, maybe more. Check it out if you're in town.
Score is relative to the rural area it's located in.
