Eleven separate additions of cascade hops give this American pale ale its lush citrus aroma and bold hop flavor without crazy bitterness.

Fresh bottle of Hopalicious picked up in Wisconsin. Good to see Ale Asylum bottling! Pours into my glass a slightly hazy goldenrod hue with a healthy inch of creamy white head and lots of active carbonation. Nice! Aromas start off with lots of floral, citric hop tones. This is a bold blast of Cascade hops fresh off the vine. Lemon zest and touch of herbal resin are there as well. A light pale, toasty malt lies underneath with a touch of caramel.
First sip brings a big rush of floral hops with a touch of lemon zest coming through as well. A light pale malt flows in the background, a touch toasty with a kiss of caramel sweetness. It flows down with a mellow herbal hop bitterness. Really nice hop bomb here for an APA and a pretty tasty brew overall.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side with a good blast of bubbles. Goes down easy and is quite refreshing as a good APA should be. I enjoyed this brew and could easily have a few more. A tasty Cascade bomb of an APA that also does a good job of packing in the hops without much bitterness. Maybe just needs a little more in the malt department though. Check this one out!

Poured from a can into a snifter. Pours orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and grassy hops. Tastes of fresh citrus hops with some creaminess. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

A: a cloudy brown amber with a white head.
S: light hops and grapefruit.
T: assertive bitterness upfront. There'sa touch of twang in there... Hints if grapefruit and grass.
M: medium light in body with fairly assertive carbonation.
O: overall it's a hoppy beer. Not great, not bad, but beer.

Pours a hazy, orange-red with a light, lacy head, one finger high. Aroma is clean, unassuming, with mostly pine and citrus notes. Taste is orange and mild grapefruit.

Solid apa, plenty to enjoy, but middle of the pack (if the pack consists of at least decent apas), all things considered. From a 12 oz can into my Junkyard snifter (the 3rd can of a sixer I picked up at a gas station on a fishing trip to Wisconsin)...been a long while since I last had this, and apparently, I’ve never rated it, so...! Looks good in the glass, slightly cloudy, glowering honey gold/brown with a bright white 1 1/2 finger head that subsided to a thin ring. Nose is light caramel and bready malts and a little herbal and piney hoppiness, but not much. Taste brings the nose forward, but gets quite a bit more juicy (citrus) and less bready. Comes to a nice full and satisfying finish. Bitterness is fairly modest. Mouthful, at times, seems a little watery and thin, not too lively or zippy, but on the finish it sits on the tongue nicely, all the same...as noted, it finishes very well. Worth a shot...a satisfying pint and I could see this being a reliable stand-by.

L: Big rocky head, cloudy dark orange.
S: Classic citrus and pine.
T: Little different from the smell, sharp pine and medium bitterness with a touch of sweetness.
F: while this beer is very bitter it's not too dry to the point of drying out your mouth like some APA's. Light body.
O: Not my favorite APA but it is a classic, starter APA that does not do a lot to stand out from others.

Poured into a pint glass the beer has a orange/yellow clear color with a foam head. I could smell a citrus / pine like many of the american pale ales. I could taste a lot of hops at first with the citrus and pine in the middle with moderately bitterness at the end. Being thirty five miles south of the location of the Ale Asylum Brewing. I had this beer many times before and in my opinion this is Ale Asylum best beer. Great before a Wisconsin Badgers Football.

Nice aroma of honey, malt, biscuit and brown bread with hops a seemingly secondary concern despite the advertised “eleven additions of cascade hops” on the label. This American Pale Ale smells and tastes more like an English style pale ale than an APA. As an English style pale ale this would earn higher marks.

12 ounce can....no useful dating info that I can find.
Pours a warm hued medium hazed typical almond amber. Leaving long lasting eggshell froth, sheeting and strands of lacing.
Soft ripe fruit on the nose with some melon coming forward.
Smooth, tasty and easy drinking brew....some sweet as well as citric notes. Nicely done....worth a try

This 12oz. bottle poured a nice yellow-orange, very hazy, but held up to the light I can watch the carbonation. There is a solid 2" of pure white foam that very slowly slips away to a nice layer with some lacing left behind.
The aroma is a solid citrus, this can be picked up as soon as the bottle is opened.
The taste follows the nose along with a pine flavor, a bitter finish, dry, but slightly sweet.
The feel leans toward creamy with nice carbonation.
Overall, this beer is a fine APA, sweet but tart, citrus and pine flavors.

A good apa if you haven't had that many before. Compared to others I've had its rather weak. Thin body. I have a feeling this would be much better on tap. Good starter apa but doesn't hold a candle to more quality ones.
