Notes:
Prepare to be round-housed in the taste buds. This is a North American-style India Pale Ale. It has an intense Northwest Pacific-hop character from a ridiculous amount of hops added to the brew-kettle, and then dry-hopped later on during conditioning. Citrusy, floral, and fruity flavours take front stage, while the caramel accented malts give it some balance.

A - Cloudy orange with a 1/2 inch or so of foam.
S - Nose is muted - some light pine/grapefruit and a touch of biscuity malt.
T - Solid, resinous pine-and-grapefruit. A bit of apple, fruit and tobacco as well. Big bitter finish.
M - Mildly astringent with a moderately hefty body. Served a touch on the cold side.
D - Solidly drinkable, hoppy brew. Could use some more aromatics but the flavour doesn't disappoint.

From notes taken at the Taps brewpub last night, where this pint was served far too cold. A beer I've enjoyed multiple times in the past, but seem never to have rated before. This batch is not nearly as impressive an APA as I remember from earlier growlers and brewpub visits.
Pint is a beautiful dusty amber with limited head but impressive lacing. Minimal aroma is surprisingly malt-forward, and remains limited even as the pint warms. The flavour ends with a bracing and delightful bitterness, but doesn't have the hop profile or balance that I remember. Malt-forward start and body doesn't have any citrus or tropical fruit "west coast" tones before an abrupt transition to bitterness. No longer the OCB highlight that was once “Chuck Norris”...

Pours a hazy orange-ish to yellow color with an off white head. In the aroma, a mellow hop, with notes of citrus. In the taste, mellow hops, which a still upfront, but kind of thin. A hop abrasion and a medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dryer hop and mellow citrus notes in the aftertaste. Lacking body, and hops are more mellow than expected.

On tap at the brewery. Nice white, fluffy head gave off malty smell. Once it hits the mouth the hops take over, huge. Orange, pine, floral. Nice silky mouthfeel clinches it. I wouldn't call this a balanced beer by any stretch, but the hop-forward style is so rare north of the border that a hop-dominant offering is most welcome. Grabs you in the throat but lets you go gently, easy to pound a few of these.

On cask at Volo after the Cask Days IPA Challenge.
Beer is light amber in colour, with a very minimal bit of frothy bubble at the top, coming from the cask.
Smell is incredibly light. A faint scent of hops, hard to detect.
Taste is full of bitterness, of a rather soapy character. A bit of grapefruit. Finish is quite dry with a bitter aftertaste.
Beer has a very slight carbonation (coming from cask, I am not sure how much this means), and is fairly thin bodied. Feels pretty good, but no remarkable.
Overall. a pretty good beer. I liked it, but it was not particularly complex. The soapy bitter flavour dominted everything else. "Soapy" probably sounds bad, but it is pretty good, just not enveloping or exciting enough to make me go in search of more.

Pint at the Burger Bar.
Pours a copper-amber with a finger of white head, with sheets of lace. Nose of sweet caramel malt, while tropical and citrus hops notes contend for the nose. Some mango, pineapple and grapefruit contend. Taste is initiated with the malt, some sweet toffee/caramel is interrupted with tropical notes and some orange. Mild mango and grapefruit this time around, with some pine hidden between the rest. Some decent bitterness throughout the feel, and the hop flavours linger significantly. Medium body and slightly higher than medium carbonation. Solid feel and quite tasty all around.

On tap at the brewpub. Deep hazed red grapefruit colour, with sticky shelf like lace that persists. The aromas were grapefruit, perfume, pine, floral, with some resiny qualities leading to stone fruits.. Very inviting and fresh. Very bitter upfront, good tongue tingle. Stone fruit sweetness comes after the initial hop smack. Medium full bodied, creamy, with a piney citric finish with low bitterness. Excellent example.

Pours a nice cloudy orange with a nice head and decent lacing down the glass.
Smells of nice grapefruit hops very much in the style of the American IPA. Very mild malt presense in the smell.
Taste is very much grapefruit hops with a slight balancing maltiness. Tastes pretty much how it smells.
Mouthfeel is very much in keeping with the 5% beer.
I have had a ton of this stuff and just love it. Very nice to see a beer like this available.

Just walked into my parents house and they had a fresh growler if this ready for me and my dad wanted to try it. Pours a bright orange colour with a finger of white head. Some lacing on the glass. Smells of citrus and floral hops with some mild caramel malt base. Nice hop forward IPA, one of the better ones from this province.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Reddish colour, with a little white head. Spider lacey. Served way too cold. Much more drinkable when warmed. Decent bitterness, not sure of hop but it emits some floral fragrance. Average mouthfeel. Somewhat aggressive carbonation, mouthfeel is average.
