Starr Saison is a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale. It is crisp and complex with plenty of fruitiness, hints of earth, and refreshing hop aroma and bitterness.

12 oz bottle, poured into a goblet
Appearance: Pours a beautiful, golden, rust color with lots of orange highlights and a quarter of a finger of white-colored head that quickly dissolved away into a thin halo of foam that gripped the sides of the glass.
Aroma: Nice aromas of toasted malt, imparting notes of freshly toasted English muffins or French baguettes. There are lots of orange and grapefruit-like citrus aromas as well as some honey and spices such as coriander, black pepper, and maybe a touch of ginger.
Taste: Exactly like the aroma. There’s lots of toasted malt up front, imparting bready flavors of freshly toasted English muffins or French baguettes, followed by some honey-like sweetness, lemony/orange/grapefruit-like citrus and spices such as coriander, black pepper, and maybe a touch of ginger and saffron.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and pretty effervescent as there is some good carbonation. With an ABV of 6.0%, there is no alcohol on the palate.
Overall: This is a descent American Saison. It has good flavors of toasted malt, citrus and spices. Good quaff.

Appearance: hazy, golden orange; big frothy off-white head; decent lacing
Smell: sweet, candy-like aroma with coriander; some of that farmhouse funk; smells delicious
Taste: sweet malts on start; jumps to sour, grapefruit-pithe like bitterness; finishes slightly dry and sour with a finish like you bit into a citrus peel; more like a US-IPA finish
Mouthfeel: slightly thin and lightly carbed
Remarks: not too bad overall, but not great, either
