A: pours a clear amber hue into an Corsendonk glass with little bubbles barely any head--looks fantastic!
S: A little pine and light citrus notes. Smells really good.
T: dark citrus fruits, tangerines, grapefruit, blood orange. The citrus is really overpowering making this double IPA less than enjoyable.
MF: I can't get over the overpowering citrus. it is like having a mouth full of grapefruit juice.
O: the overpowering citrus notes drown out the malt and just leave an unpleasant abundant hop profile. I wouldn't buy again.

Single purchased at Super Saver, Pennington Circle.
Bright shiny amber, carbonation streams, topped by I've fingers of loose big bubbly snow white head. Thin lace but good coverage.
Maybe the faintest aroma I've experienced in a IIPA. A bit of pine but I'm a long way from the forest.
A sloppy slather of depthless malt. A dash of nondescript fruit. Good bitterness underneath at least. Off taste in the finish I can't place but don't like.
Medium mouthfeel is okay.
A very disappointing IIPA.

A: High turbidity factor, with macro particulate matter suspended about a glowing orange body. Chunky macro particles are bready while the head is thin, compact with a antique white tint with dull yellowish undertones. Lacing is sparse, low coverage rate, weakly holding.
S: Grassy-hay aroma, sweet toast and grahm crackers. Strength is average with a bit of dried apple slices.
T: Toasted dry sweetness for flavor followed by a dry hopping of grassy-onion hops. Good level of dry bitterness, citrus and dry herbal appeal that spikes with a sharp toasted grain and grassy-onion finale. Some dry lemon.
M: Mouthful is rough, edgy, silty feel with the malt with a scratchy residual and leafy flowery coating ont the tongue. Leaves with a dry bitterness.
O: Overall worthy ibus, though as with most ipas everything is dry and linear, focusing on the brunt dry hop bitterness rather flavor. Love the extra junk in the glass, worthy a visit for a good wallop of hops.

A: Poured a clear golden/copper color with a small off-white head. Very little retention or lacing.
S: Had a definite vegetal/onion/garlic aroma. Faint citrus underneath, but the off-putting aromas really dominated.
T: The flavor profile followed the aroma, sort of cat piss and onions. Very unpleasant.
M: Hard to really tell because the flavor was so bad.
O: One of the worst beers I have had, a drainpour. Bottle date was mid-February as well, so I can't see age really being a factor.

Pours an attractive bright orange amber, moderate cap of prickly froth, some sticky lacing, light retention. Scent brings notes of pine, citrus rind, earthy hops, caramel and biscuity malt. Taste follows suit, bitter, hoppy but not overly flavorful, light caramel and biscuit backbone. Medium bodied, some oiliness, dry. Solid dIPA that doesn't overdo it, would love just a touch more hop flavor.

12 oz bottle poured into a nonic
Pours crystal clear pale orange color with minimal head. Aroma has a slight hoppy citrusness but overall not substantial.
First sip has a strong munich-like malt presence with firm lasting bitterness. Hop flavor is on the low side for an IIPA. I understand this is East coast style, but still I'd love a ton more flavor and aroma hops to really tantalize my taste buds. A touch on the boozy side, with a substantial malt backbone.
This is a decent beer, just not what I crave when I reach for an IIPA. Really needs to amp up the hop flavor and aroma to suit my tastes.
