I enjoyed this on tap at O'Reilly's, served chilled in a snifter.
The color is opaque black with a thin tan head with very fine bead, lace sticks sporadically. The smell has a copious amount of coffee with mocha type cocoa accent and slight yeast ester. The smell leads to a feel that is somewhat thin with mild sweetnesss up front and a roasty yet not very bitter middle with almost no alcohol as it finishes dry.
The taste is a slightly spiced entry with moderate roasted flavor and some dark cocoa in the taste with coffee dominating and there is a mild currant in the back with yeast presence and mild alcohol as it finishes on the dry side. This is a very tasty stout, the coffee flavor is fresh and not bitter it compliments the base flavor well and the only thing it could use is more body, but very good flavor wise
