Poured into a balloon glass.
The beer is as black as an espresso bean with brown coming through on the edges. A vanilla head recedes to a group of bubbles with light lacing remaining on the glass.
The beer smells of roasted malts, alcohol up front, then an inky, oily licorice and vanilla follow.
The beer tastes a good part of the aroma. There's a decent amount of burnt malts up front, then an oily licorice body. Some sweet vanilla extract, and a faint bitter coffee finish.
The mouthfeel is somewhat dry, but altogether not bad. There's a smoothness to it as well.
Overall, I wish I knew the ABV to this. Altogether, an above average beer from Weston. More good qualities than bad.

Pours a lovely black, with a thick, foamy, desert tan head. Lacing is decent. Aroma is full of roasted, smooth malts. Taste opens up with malts and a little chocolate sweetness. Mouth feel is good. Feels robust and smooth, and not watery. Overall, I'm impressed with this beer. Wasn't expecting much, but it is great.
Served in a 12oz snifter.

A - Beer out of bomber. Filthy dark beer. Looks great. Nice thick tan style head. Lacing leaves some to be desired.
S - Strong dark chocolate roasted malts.
T - Taste matches the smell. Strong chocolate malt is not shy.
M - Lightly dry mouth feel.
O - Nice chocolate stout, though I am not a fan of the style.
