The colour is pale copper, 10 ECU), the liquid is clear. No visible bubbles. The finger thick warm white head sinks rather quickly leaving a thin lid on the beer. Some lacing occurs.
The smell is clean, sweet and malty. Notes of golden syrup and sweet bread bread. Some dry flowery bitter notes.
The taste got a strong mellow sweet notes. Lots of bread, some dark dried fruits. Not very complicated flavours. Medium body. The aftertaste got less sweetness, instead a growing almost sharp combination of alcohol and chemical bitter flavours emerges. Some apricots, boiled vegetables and fragile hints of roasted malt. The finish is a bit alcoholic and reminds me more of an ESB than a Vienna.
The carbonation is strong, the small bubbles sharp. The liquid is rather light.
Too much alcohol, too strong carbonation and some vegetable/DMS flavours. Still, it is quite gulpable.
