Notes:
An Oatmeal Stout by style. This is a fairly large beer. Very dark in color. This big malty beer is filled with complex flavors which include, caramel, toffee, coffee, and espresso flavors. The addition of 150 pounds of oatmeal to this brew helps smooth out all those complex flavors creating a slightly creamy mouth feel. This beer is hopped just enough to balance out the high level of sweetness in this beer.

Had at the brewery in a 25oz mug... It was $6, I wasn't expecting much. Wow was I wrong.
A: Black with a thin tan head. Dissipates quickly and completely.
S: Slight coffee, with lots of roasted barley.
T: Like milk chocolate beer. That's the best way I can put it.
M: NAILED this. Smooth and pleasant, I could drink gallons of it.
O: This is the best beer we had at the brewery by far. One of my favorite stouts I've ever had and definitely my favorite oatmeal stout. Crazy good!

Had at the brewery a while back, the following is of notes I took at that time
A: Pitch black color small tan head with slight lacing down the glass
S: Roasty malts, chocolate and coffee scent
T: Sweet milk chocolatey flavor, roasted grain, espresso
M: Silky smooth mouthfeel...very nice
O: Awesome stout, feels like a bit more than the stated 7.4 ABV...by far their best beer.

a: served in a shaker pint, the stout is pitch black in color, an initially full, dark mocha colored head settles to a coating layer
s: big nose of dark chocolate and a slew of heavy roasted flavor, smooth roasts that is - without any harsh edge, dark toffee sugars, smooth rich espresso, mild earthy hops, lots to grab on to here - great
m: the body is thick and creamy with a light-moderate level of carbonation, oats contribute well to the body
t: flavors lean heavily towards dark chocolate and deep, complex roasted character, rich caramelized toffee sugars provide a mid-palate sweetness, astringent espresso-char notes stay hidden until the finish, mildly hopped - just enough to balance and clean up the malts a bit, flavors linger long, delicious
o: something about the stouts from this area (Snake River Zonker being the other) - they're great, huge on complex roast flavors and nicely drinkable, deliciously sweet and chocolaty but still quite balanced, an easy score imo

Had at the local Old Chicago:
Poured from tap into pint glass very dark almost picth black with almost no head of foam.
The smell has some good roastiness to it followed by a chocolate nose.
The taste is mildly roasty with good grainy notes(I'm told this is an Oatmeal Stout) and some chocolate that, if the mentioned flavours were just a bit more on the stronger side, I'd call this quite the tasty American Stout. As is, it's still worth trying, evidenced by downing and enjoying a couple of pints..
