A clean but deep copper/orange with 2 fingers of head which gave off quite nice lacing. Smells of honey, caramel, light fruity hops. The taste is completely different! Earthy bitter hops up front with a light sweet malty backbone. The hop bitterness lingers for a great tasting dipa. The mouthfeel is the weakest point. Medium body with low carbonation. Sticky on the lips.
Overall this is a solid dipa but I'd prefer a bit more carbonation.

Poured from a 64oz Growler into a Cpt. Lawrence elongated tulip glass
A- Pours a crystal clear, golden orange with a substationtial 2-fingers worth of head. As consumed, the lacing is impressive!
S- Immediate blast of citrus rind and resinous pine in equal amounts...Sierra Nevada Torpedo on steroids! Malt sweetness is nowhere to be found...a hop lover's dream!
T- Although not to endorse Sierra Nevada, Cricket Hill's Imperial IPA has the bitterness of Hoptimum with the body of Torpedo. A bit unbalanced, but for the fans of a citrus/piney forward Imperial IPA, this delivers...and in copius amounts.
M- On the lighter side of medium and with ample carbonation, a Hop-Head would nothing like more than another serving. The tacky, resinous finish demands nothing more than another...well done!
O- It's about time Cricket Hill attempts a staple of many US craft breweries in the category of Imperial IPA. Although it might not appeal to all that sample, it is a bold, hoppy beer and worthy to all those who love hops...well done and hope it can make its way into bottles in the near future!

A: A nice clear orange color, that leaves a nice finger of off white head at the top, nice lacing around the glass as you drink this one.
S: A nice nose of tropical fruit and some strong fresh hops throughout, a nice sweetness on the tail end.
T: A good tasting IPA, from a New Jersey brewery, lots of hops all over, a perfect bitterness, a nice sweet note on the tail end as well.
M: mid bodied, and mid carbonation.
O: A great tasting DIPA, very simple and unique in the same sense, a good brew.

First had: on tap at Pinocchio's, Media, PA
Served in a stem glass, a dark murky amber color with a small white head; moderate retention and a bit of lacing. In the nose, bready malt sweetness, and a light fruitiness, vaguely construable as hops, but lacking any crisp or distinctive hop qualities. Taste: bland malt bomb, earthy, overripe fruit sweetness. This didn't look like an IPA, this didn't smell like an IPA, this didn't taste like an IPA. This was not an IPA. This wasn't a DIPA. I don't really know what it was, but whatever it was, it was not good at all. Medium mouthfeel, chewy, stale. Go in expecting a DIPA and you will find this essentially undrinkable.
