Not bad. I had this one on tap at a Karaoke bar in Brussels, I was already drunk out of my mind, and this was all they had on tap, so we went for it. It's a dark golden colour with an off-white head. The aromas are simple and consist of light hops, light malts, and a bit of grapiness. The taste is a bit fruity, dry, and stella-like. The drinkability is good, as the mouthfeel is very light and refreshing.

Although it certainly does it above oh-so-many lagers wordwide, Belgium's bar-sponsoring-king (again, IMO. It's everywhere in brussels' street signs) certainly is a macro with a tad more taste- certainly not taking it to a <<higher level>>.
Pour is translucid golden tone no carbonation except for an easy-fade-off medium head, smell is a bit strong malty and hoppy, taste is full with a nice comfy body, a bit extra bitterness at the end.

People in Belgium must drink Trappist beers, Sour Browns, Reds, Lambics, Abbeys, Dubbels, Wheats, Trippels and all those other great beers all the time, surely?? someone once asked me.
Err.. Sorry, but NO. Sadly Not.
Your average Johnny Belgianer drinks Jupiler Pils, and they drink it copiously by the gallon. It is everywhere. The red and white Jupiler sign is a staple attachment to most Belgium Bars, cans of Jupiler are even available in 24 hour automated shops, it is also available from booths on Railway Station platforms in Belgium it is all reaching and truly ubiquitous. A remarkably popular, but unremarkable beer.
A bland light yellow fizzy liquid that degrades the name Pils, and has the uncanny ability not to change color, texture, alcoholic strength, appearance and maybe even taste, as it passes through your Kidneys and on its way to where it truly belongs.
It serves its purpose well as a mass-produced inoffensive beverage that upsets no one.
Closest Analogy American Budweiser, maybe it's worse.
A simply awful diuretic that degrades Belgium beer. Nuff Said.

This seemed to be the swill of Brussels ... beer for the masses though few real cafes carried it.

Had this several times in Belgium. It was commonly served in small, ridged glasses which would raise the fingers from the glass surface and keep the beer cooler, for longer. Not a bad brew, refreshing.

Presentation: Small 25cl (8oz +/-) brown bottle. - Brasserie Jupiler Brouwerij
Appearance: Crystal clear, yellow straw colour with a fine white lace.
Smell: A bit grassy from the hops, probably aged Saaz hops, very mellow and distinct. Touch of pale malt aroma.
Taste: Very light, crisp, smooth with a touch of mouth coating diacetyl. Faint malt flavour, grassy bitterness, turning dry at the end. Cotton mouth finish, which is not pleasant.
Notes: Not too bad. Not fantastic either, but, we would definitely not dump this.
