fresh sample from the brewpub in Meadville, PA Fall 2012
A - was in a tasting glass, but appeared cloudy
S - ever smell a cucumber? thats the overwhelming scent that masks everything else
T - not very desirable. one moouthful left me tasting this horrible taste that was only mildly masked by a few 4 Seasons IPA and a tasty stout
M - couldn't get over the aweful taste in my mouth that lingers for a long time
O - If you want to taste cucumbers for an entire day, this may be for you. Not me. Won't ever try a cucumber beer ever again. Was very dissapointed since i actually love cucumbers and pickles!!!

On tap a few hours ago at the brewpub into a clean, clear glass. Review from notes taken while enjoying it. I called the brewpub back just now and got the ABV since I had not recorded it while there.
A Abundant creamy head over a yellow opaque body that glows in front of the light coming through the large windows on behind the bar at the brewpub. Nice lacing on the inside of the glass after repeated sips as well. 4.5
S Light cucumbers (I have never wrote that in a review but really, repeated sniffs reveal light cucumbers!). Also the slightest sense of sweet malt and wheat grains. Nothing if not interesting. 4.0
T Classic Witbier taste with a lot less of the cucumber taste that the smell suggested. It is in there but maybe 10 per cent of what the smell suggested to me. There is a nice Witbier gentle sweetness as well. 4.5
M Moderate thickness but light Witbier and cucumber tastes lighten it up quite a bit. 4.5
D Drinkability is very, very high. Overall I thought of this as a gimmicky beer but it still works. I would love to taste the Witbier base before the cucumber was added but it is fine just the way that it is. 4.0
Notes: Got to love the name!
