Notes:
his is named after a song that sparked the idea to make this ale. Brown ales seem to be there, but not really there, do you know what I mean? Well that won't be the mistake with Wynona! Voodooed out this style and add more that's what we say. Hoppy and smooth hints of chocolate and tons of brown malt to let you know it's there. Try the brown, You'll be Happy You Did!!

Poured into a pint glass.
A: Hazy dark brown. Nice bubbles. Off-white head that diminished almost immediately. Not much lacing.
S: Toasted. Hints of caramel and coffee.
T: Light sweetness and a moderate hop bitterness. Coffee flavors. Subtle nutty finish.
M: Light to medium body that was smooth and slightly dry. The carbonation was lively.
O: A little too much bitterness and coffee flavor for my taste. I prefer more nutty brown ales. But overall, this wasn't bad. The mouthfeel was very nice.

Pours a rich brown with a mocha head on top. The head is dense but not tall.
Aroma is quite porter like which I wasn't expecting and robust.
Plenty of roasted malts aroma.
taste is similar, with a rich roasted malt taste. Not overly pronounced butr lighter then a porter.
Drinks thick and creamy.
Surprizingly good with desent flavor.

22oz bottle into Rastal 0.3L. no bottled on date.
A: relatively clear, moderate brown hue. head is a shade of brown, but otherwise very white. retention is quite good, as is the lacing.
S: dark chocolate, a bit of coffee. there is a decent amount of American hops sprinkled in with what is otherwise mostly all-grain aroma-wise. really roasty, smells similar to a porter.
T: roasty and chocolaty both at the beginning and especially at the conclusion of the sip. slightly astringent. a little soapy? finish is bitter before turning to more astringency. more chocolate.
M: moderate amount of carb on a very medium, almost full body.
D: a good drinking, strong brown ale. good/great aroma, good flavor. the astringency is almost too strong as I wouldn't hate for a little softer malt profile to keep things biscuit and a bit rounder. not bad non-the-less.

Pours a darker brown with a full head that disappates to mostly a rim around the glass. Clean filtered. Aroma is darker malts, brown sugar and maple syrup. Flavor is much of the same - good quality brew. Good balance - not too thick for the beginning of spring, but not too thin to give some heartiness to it.

tap
Pours a deep mostly translucent brown, tan thin head dissipates to a lacing.
Roasted coffee and hints of hop in the nose.
Flavor is of roasted coffee with some acidic tartness and the aforementioned subdued hop bitterness, on the nutty side.
Medium body with a subtle tingly carbonation.
Good flavor and drinkability, nice balance in the coffee and hop elements, would definitely have again.
