On tap at PP OB. Snifter. Brewed at Ocean Beach.
A: Slightly hazy yellow orange with a fast fading white head. Bubbles linger around the edges of the glass.
S: Banana and bubblegum with a pleasant clove presence. Orange blends with pear, wheat, and a little vanilla.
T: Peppery with notes of banana and clove. Moderately sweet with stone fruit and orange. Wheat blends with a touch of vanilla and bubblegum. Lightly tart throughout.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation.
Overall: Nicely balanced. Recommended. I think high carbonation would take this up a notch.

A plain but workmanlike Hefeweizen. Some of the clove and banana flavors come through but it didn't seem particularly strong. Sweet malt with a distinct tart taste. Seems low in hops even for the style, or else it's just a lot of malt. Fine mouthfeel and pleasant medium rich body. Head is OK but dissipates in the pint glass. A pleasant quaff after soaking in the salt water. Enjoyed at Pizza Port in Ocean Beach.

A: The beer pours the usual cloudy orange tinted gold color with a couple fingers of white head.
S: The clove and banana aromas are just massive on this beer. The banana is sort of overripe and very sweet, but quite pleasant. A moderate bubblegum aroma along with a solid wheat and bread malt base.
T: A pretty damn sweet flavor, but I like it. Sweet bread, sweet wheat, and very sweet banana and bubblegum esters. The clove is not quite as intense as it was on the nose, but does certainly make itsefl known.
M: The body and carbonation are both in the medium range.
D: Ah, a well done Hefeweizen. I would definitely recommend getting a glass of this beer.
