On me - long refrigerated but somewhat dated beer. Pours a very slightly hazy - near clear copper colour with one finger off white head and rambunctious carbonation racing up the glass. Aroma is bready, caramel malt, a touch of corny sweetness, hints of banana.
Taste is quite sweet with the caramel malt, banana notes, a little bit of clove, pepper and again a bit of corn in back.
Smooth medium full mouthfeel - alcohol is there but not overbearingly so, with the sweetness lingering. Quite enjoyable.

From Degustasur. In Teku glass. Playing Avernum 3. Malty, caramelly, with alcohol notes yet nothing excessive, and light banana. Fine but a bit boring.

Poured to a stemmed glass.
A: The body is hazy yellow with a two finger thick white head. Looking good so far.
S: The aroma is very banana-y, clovy, it's very strong and pompuous.
T: The taste of clove is strong, close to wheat and malty profiles. This is damn good!
M: The body is medium high to high. Carbonation is perfect.
O: I'm starting to understand that I'm into weizenbocks.

330ml bottle - wow, a straight-up, old-world style from Mikkeller?
This beer pours a slightly hazy, medium copper amber colour, with four fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly tan head, which leaves some dissipating fog bank lace around the glass as it lazily sinks away.
It smells of bready caramel malt, some gritty wheatiness, faint yeast, banana chips, generic citrus rind, clove and white pepper spice, and some gentle leafy and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, tangy wheat notes, a peppy apple, pear, and blood orange fruitiness, more clove and tabletop peppercorn spice, and some very tame earthy, leafy, and ethereally perfumed floral hoppiness.
The bubbles are pretty laid-back in their timid frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, maybe the yeast dulling the new paint job, in a manner of speaking. It finishes well off-dry, the heavy-hitter malt not exactly taking its foot off of the gas for even a moment.
Overall, this is a fairly complex, and enjoyable version of the style, albeit a somewhat sweet one. They do a bang-up job of integrating the 17-proof boozy-booze, and keep the de Proef yeast effects to a minimum (in a beer that actually calls for them). I wouldn't turn down another of these, if handed one by someone with money to burn.

Love Mikkeller. Love weizenbock. But this one was underwhelming. Not much going on with the aroma nor the taste. Perhaps Schneider Aventinus has simply ruined all others for me...

Excellent wheat beer, best I've tasted. More depth of flavour than Erdinger or Paulaner (two of my favourite wheat beers)

Look: relatively clear, some yeast floating around. Dark orange, amber. Almost no head, some foam islands. Medium carbonation, light lacing. Looks good, inviting.
Smell: Banana, caramel malt/wheat, fruity, passion fruit, some citrus (tangerine, orange). Also some alcohol spice.
Taste: Nice fruity (tangerines), yeasty start then goes into overly sweet, caramel wheat middle to rough alcohol feel. Sweetness sticks long in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: medium, solid carbonation, medium body; missing some creaminess. Warming due to the alcohol.
Overall: Fine beer, but far from the best representatives of weizenbock. Short on taste and mouthfeel. Alcohol and sweet character way to dominating.

It looks a treat, with a hazy, sturdy brick red-orange color and a smooth, solid white head. Smells phenomenally boozy and yeasty, like bread dough and brandy, with an utterly bizarre but totally unmistakable smell of pasta in tomato sauce. Must be something about doughy, fruity, and herbal notes coming together in unexpected ways to mimic cooked spaghetti, simmered tomatoes, and oregano.
Far less savory in terms of flavor – in fact, pretty standard for the style, except the alcohol is far more perceivable. Bananas, caramelized pineapple, rum, bitter orange; if it weren't for a cellar-like mustiness, this would taste downright tropical. Instead it tastes distinctly Germanic, with floral honey and and a bounty of earthy yeast.
Pretty good, but laughable in comparison to some of the German classics (see: Aventinus). Too hot and also not rich or complex enough.

Bottle: standard brown 330mL bottle, average craft label.
Appearance: pours an ever-so-slightly hazy orange-copper colour with minimal fine carbonation. A solid one-finger white head jumps up - great retention and solid lacing.
Aroma: quite sweet, with a definite soft citrus up front - mandarines with some light biscuit malts and wheat. Decent but not mind-blowing due to its demure nature.
Taste: great complexity here - bread malts and heavy wheat with dark fruits and spices. Still some of those lovely sweet citrus flavours hanging around too. Nice.
Aftertaste: the sweetness lingers well but without being over the top.
Mouth feel: medium to heavy body with moderate carbonation. A warm smoothness due to the 8.5% ABV. Again, nice.
Overall: this is the second beer I have had from Mikkeller (the other being the Koppi Coffee IPA), and they have thoroughly impressed thus far. Well worth it every now and then when the wallet allows.

Pours deep amber with a fading head.
Nose shows doughy yeast, wheat, golden syrup and cloves. The doughy yeast note is very prominent.
Similar flavour, more full-on doughy characters. Quite sweet, sugary almost. Noticeable alcohol in the finish.
Carbonation seems a little excessive, perfectly syrupy body though.
Not exactly a complex beer. The doughy character is annoyingly distracting.
