Clearish golden colour with a creamy white head. Good head retention and nice lacing that clings to the glass.
Bright and fruity on the nose with a slightly estery, sulphury note typical of kellerbier. Bits of apple and soft malt.
Very soft, sweet malt with a hefty dose of bitterness. A tiny bit harsh. Again, it's a bit fruity with those harder fruits being more present.
Medium-light body with moderately-high carbonation. Good.
A solid and refreshing beer. It seems a little plain and I'm not sure the hops are used to the best of their abilities but it is certainly palatable.

Picked this up at De HopDuvel in Gent. Clear yellow pour with two finger foamy white head with great retention and lacing. The nose is really odd. Very grainy and nutty with hints of grass and lemon, with a bit of wet hay as well. The taste is pretty much what I expected from a Kellerbier. I've tasted quite a few while living in Germany, and this is pretty spot on, of course with that Mikkeller over the top hop twist. The taste is very herbal and nutty with hints of lemon and grass that works well with the bitter hops. The mouthfeel is fairly light and crisp with a great tangy, bitter, dry hop finish. This was not one of my favorite Mikkeller beers, but it is a decent interpretation of the style with the wet hop twist to make it unique.

Quite an ugly beer, there is simply no way around it. Chunky bubbles. Cloudy, tarnished brass. A loogie of a white head, like scum on a pond. The smell is better, but only just – annoyingly one-dimensional, and that's of tangy wort, with a little bit of honey and banana. But the flavor is mighty fine, briskly hoppy and surprisingly nutty, with a distinct peanut and cashew character that lingers on after a crisp, bitter finish. Frothy carbonation helps the hops along (not that they need any help), but overall there is a severe lack of depth here. The hops taste mostly just of their bitterness, and the hops taste mostly of their sweetness. Any other flavors – a hint of nuts, a drop of grapefruit – feel inconsistent chimerical. Perfectly drinkable and refreshing, but sadly falls short of expectations.

Pours a semi hazy golden yellow hue which leaves a two finger creamy dense head and lacing everywhere, the smell is grassy herbal hops, honey and herbal soil, the mouthfeel is medium bodied and has tastes of herbal hops, lemonade lemons, honey, lychee and finished with herbal dryness that makes you want another sip and overall not bad and very sessionable would love to try it on tap cheers.

I had this on tap at Max's. Served in a sample glass.
Appearance: Pours a clear light amber color with a very small amount of mild off white head that goes away quickly.
Smell: There is a light malt syrup sweetness with some mild fruit notes. Very much dominated by the grain.
Taste: Light malt syrup with a very mild hint of hop bitterness. Reminds me a bit of fresh mushrooms. Fairly weird.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with a tingle of carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: I would have liked this to be hoppier. Nice and light, this was close to being quite good.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a German 0.3l handled glass.
Pours a crystal clear blonde/light amber in colour with a big big frothy white head.
A lot of aroma to this beer! I got mushy peas, wasabi/mustard, hops and malt roughly in that order. Most unusual smells!
Flavour wise, grassy hops, a little citrus and some nutty/wood tones to it. A crisp bitter-dry aftertaste.
Medium in body and moderate to low in carbonation.
On OK take on a Zwickel but perhaps trying a bit too hard to be whacky and different when there isn't a need to! The smell was something way out!

This was an interesting brew. With Mikkeller and fresh hops I couldn’t refuse.
This is a golden colored beer, with exceptional clarity. There’s a honeyed sweetness to its aroma. In spite of being a wet hop beer it’s not noticeably floral or citrusy. Tastes hoppy but sweet with honey. Hops are present but not exciting in the way that fresh hopped beers can be. What I think it is is that it’s a stylistic limitation more than anything else. The wet hopping gave it some life but not in a way that I’d expect. Still, glad I was able to try this one.

A: Pours a clear gold with a compact, lingering white head.
S: Aromas of yeast, straw, biscuits, grass, honey, and lemon are present on the nose. This smells a bit grainy compared to the other kellerbiers I've tried.
T: A crisp, tart entry reveals notes of straw, damp hay, grass, lemon, honey, minerals, biscuits, grain, and yeast. The finish is abrupt with grain, yeast, lemon, and straw flavors.
M: Light-to-medium in body, firm, and dry. Carbonation is very active. Feels a bit bloating and gassy...
O: This is not one of Mikkeller's better efforts in my opinion. The carbonation is a bit much and the both the smell and taste are a bit off-putting. In the end, this one seems a bit out of whack to me. A missed opportunity.

The colour is gold (7 EBC), the liquid is clear. The very high head is off-white and airy with good retention. Lots of lacing.
The smell is hoppy in a German way: Hay, flowers and tree sap. Some hints of yeast/egg/sulphur. Some earthy bitterness and a hint of particle board. It is quite mild and quite… escaping?
The taste is first bitter and semi-sweet. Some hints of oak barrels and green plants. Light and a bit tart bitter flavours. Low to medium body. Alcohol and clean sweetness in the smooth aftertaste as well as some flowery notes and hints of bakers yeast and green bananas.
The carbonation is medium strong, yet a bit tired. Small bubbles. The liquid is a bit dry.
I don’t really get this beer. Oak chips aged? An experiment that just didn’t work. Not bad, just… Uninteresting.
