A: poured into a snifter to a pitch black with a little tan head that quickly fades to a collar around the glass
S: smells rich with notes of coffee, dark roasted malt, chocolate, charred wood, molasses and alcohol
T: tastes of quality coffee, dark malt, a bit of chocolate, some charred wood. aftertaste is bitter roasted malt, more coffee and a bit of wood char
M: silky smooth and full bodied with very soft carbonation that fights to make its presence known
O: a quality beer. great complexity and very smooth with not even a hint of alcohol in the flavor. it's very impressive

Tulip glass.

A: Pours a viscous black with a fine, ephemeral cap of dark brown head. A few dots of lace and pretty good retention. The ring is reminiscent of a shot of espresso.

S: Bold, earthy coffee, a darkish roast, firm sweetish roasted malt, and a touch of fruitiness and spice. The coffee aroma is unique and interesting.

T: A real coffee bomb. Dark roast coffee, moderate spiciness, dry but not too try and lots of espresso coffee on the finish. Not unlike drinking an iced espresso.

M: Medium-full body and medium-light but sharp carbonation.

O: Very good coffee-forward beer. My main complaint would be the one dimensionality of the flavor. Doesn't have the same charm as Speedway Stout.
