Poured from bottle purchased at the columbia street taproom, covington, LA. Poured into an oversized snifter. Pours a pitch black with very very thin tan head. Great amazing coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt aromas. There is also a definite slight hop aroma.
Taste is just amazing. Thick flavor of roasted coffee and roasted caramel malts with a big dose of dark chocolate and vanilla finish. There is also a hint of something bitter fruity but I can't place it...dried cherry maybe? Its so smooth and just so enjoyable to drink. Overall, an amazing brew and well worth the price. Just don't look up where the coffee comes from - maybe that's the weird taste??
