From notes, Reviewed as part of a Wig-and-Penathon tasting Sat Oct 1st, between myself and mrs heygeebee

Pours a clear pale straw colour, one finger head, some lacing subsides quickly.

No aromas. None. from two noses :-0

Taste is fairly standard macro / almost helles. Could use a lot of adjectives here, but really, it's standard.

Mouthfeel is light and crisp, as per style

Overall, not one of Wig and Pen’s better efforts

Clear, gold colour. Small, shortlasting white head.

Slightly suphury with a mild graininess.

Interesting pilsner. Crisp, pils malt starts it off with a graininess which is acceptable but that I don't really like. A slight tartness comes through which clears the palate and may be from the hops. The hops are quite citrussy. The whole is fairly dry. Decent but it lacks something for me.

Medium body with moderately-high carbonation. Suits the style though carbonation could be a touch lower.

For me it is an okay beer. It doesn't hit the heights of a great pilsner but it does the job and provides a decent option for macro lovers at the great brewpub.

Pours with a very lagery appearance - clear and amber, with little head. No carbonation, really. Pretty meh-tastic appearance.

Nose is okay, with a slight and underwhelming sensation of fruit with predominant bittering hops, probably Saaz, quite grassy with a slight spicy edge. Decent pilsener aroma.

Competent front and mid palate with a nicely balanced tart fruit/hop balance descends into quite crisp pilsenery finish, a little bit sticky but with a fainy tickle of grassy hop on the back cleans it up. A noble effort, good hopping and pleasant esters for a lager.

Clear dark gold body, with minimal head and lacing.

Nose is quite fragrant, with a robust presence of Saaz hops, organic notes like clipped grass and a citrus tang which finishes it off. Very pleasant.

Good bitter pils palate. Very refreshing hop bitterness is really quite good for the style. Sweetness at the start, balanced with a really delicious peppery hop backbone. Mouthfeel sparkling and tingly.

I'm quite impressed, this is a really good example of a Bohemian style pils.

A lovely pilsener. Softly floral saaz on the nose. Nice sweet buttery malts, and bitter citrusy saaz at the finish. Soft mouthfeel. Nicely dry and bitter finish. Easy to drink, yet with nice character. Nice balance and all that aswell. Wouldn't mind drinking a few of these ones...nice one.
