Pours a Golden Yellow with a Yellowish head. It goes down smooth and tastes like any other IPA. To be honest, after having other beers brewed with Juniper berries (DFH Sah'Tea & GSB Sleigh Ryed) I was expecting the Juniper berries to come through a bit more. It's still really good for a Pale Ale though and I do enjoy it.

22oz Bottle

Appearance: Rich yellow that is just shy of being amber. Fluffy white head that settles to a very thin ring.

Smell: Citrusy hops and potting soil like earthy aroma. Juniper scent is there but very subtle and balanced with the malts.

Taste: Herbal/earthen flavors balanced nicely against the malts. Clean hop flavors that help highlight the juniper. Hop and juniper take the stage at the back end of each sip.

Mouthfeel: Medium to light body. Smooth and soft on the pallet.

Drinkability: Session strength and body, however, the hops and juniper will likely be fatiguing after more than 2 glasses.

A: Pours a hazy bronze with a coarse head that leaves a fair amount of lacing on the glass.

S: Citrus and juniper berries, hint of lemon

T: Piney bitterness and flavor, some citrus and juniper, malt presence is their but quickly dissapears with the extremely dry finish, gin like flavor from the juniper berries really lingers in the aftertaste, so much so that its still their in the next sip.

M: Nice creamy mouthfeel, crisp and very dry, some coarse bitterness.

D: Not for everyone, distinct gin like flavor (I like gin) especially in the finish, good beer just not a regular of mine.

A - Really interesting colors happening, opalescent even. Shimmering as the light passes through at different angles and intensities. Goes from goldenrod to pale yellow. Overall adequate level of head retention.

S - Very floral and piney notes. To me, this is especially aromatic for pale ale.

T - Light and spicy, I'm not sure how well the juniper comes through here. Maybe as a volatile aftertaste you feel floating around your mouth as much as you taste on the tongue.

M - Feels like a beer, nothing especially exciting happening here. Dry, light hops, bit of spice.

D - An easy drinking beer that could work equally well on a cold day (thanks to spice) or a warmer day (thanks to the lightness and hops). Versatile and tasty, a typically drinkable offering from Rogue.

I used to drink this when it was called Yellow Snow ale, and I seriously had no idea that it had juniper berries in it because I couldn't taste anything fruity- and that's still the case. Pours a very slightly hazy golden color with practically no head. Aroma is balanced, with some citrusy hop flavors and a good amount of malt showing through. Taste is really balanced too, which makes this a good beer to introduce non-BAs into craft beer. The hops I would say are a little more powerful than the malt, with a lemony taste still on my tongue 10 minutes after finishing, but not over powering hop flavor like Hazed and Infused. An above average pale ale.

An overall average beer. It poured into my ,5 l Rastal stange, decent amount of carbonation. Puffy head until I took a sip then diminished into a thin film. It tasted like an I.P.A. There is a slight aftertaste of raw plant. Nothing special about this beer.

I rather enjoyed this beer, though I didn't expect to. It's light, crisp, and airy, like a pine, but it was nice that the pine flavors were subdued and barely noticable. They weren't a main feature like the name and bottle suggest. Instead, you had to hunt for them. This beer reminded me of something like the ultimate bud light. Not in flavor, but in spirit. It's light with fairly crisp notes and no murky flavors and little maltiness. The carbonation seemed to match well. I like it more than the more carbonated Sam Noble Pils, which seems to be a beer for a similar occasion.

Now, I had this beer when I was in no particular mood to drink beer, due to snowboarding in the morning, but that's why I was so pleased with it. It suited my mood perfectly at the time. Two bottles gave me a nice tiny buzz and not a whole lot of powerful heavy beer flavor to reckon with and potentially make me thirsty.

It's probably a really good crowd pleaser (for company), much more so than say a Sierra Nevada Pale. There's nothing really bad to say about the beer, it seems to be achieving everything it wanted to achieve, and lends no unwanted flavors. Drinkability should be high for the majority; it was good for me. The only likely source of complaints will be from manly men who know their beer and want some ass kicking heavy stout, in which case they should have brought it.

Finally, I appreciate the brewers ability to incorporate a respectable amount of alcohol hp into a pretty unassuming package, like a geo metro with a v6.

A- It pours a hazy golden color with a one finger head that leaves some lacing.

S- I get a lot of hops on the nose with a very faint hint of juniper.

T- For me it started out with a slight sweetness and I picked up a slight hint of the juniper berries before I got a crisp bitterness from the hops.

M- It had a light to medium mouthfeel with quite a bit of carbonation.

O- This is a pretty solid pale ale with a nice refreshing hop bitterness. Unlike some spiced beers the juniper berries are subtle, but play a nice role.

When I first tried this beer, I thought that I had made a terrible mistake in buying it. The initial taste was hard to place, but reminded me of mint and medicine. After I let it set for a few minutes I did warm up to the flavor. Not too heavy, but the juniper taste seems to linger for a while (at least I'll guess it's juniper as I'm not sure when or where I last had anything with juniper in it). Light body, had a huge head when I poured it that stuck around for a pretty respectable amount of time. Was an interesting drink, glad I tried it, but no interest in having another.

A - Poured from a 22 oz. bomber into a pint glass. This beer is a beautiful, clear, straw color with a thick, dense, white head that lasts, leaving respectable lacing.

S - Flowery, and slightly sweet.

T - Pale malt, with a bit of sweetness, but with bitterness to balance. Some hop spiciness/earthiness. I don't get a ton of juniper up front, but it does come through in the finish.

M - medium body, somewhat creamy, with good carbonation.

O - There is nothing life altering about this beer, but it is pretty enjoyable. I may not revisit this soon, but I'll probably purchase this again. It goes go down really, really (I mean really) easy, so for a hot day this might be a good beer to pick up.

I love Rogue Brewery and will always opt to taste something new if I see it. This one popped out so I had to give it a try.

The appearance is a bit cloudy with a golden blonde pale hue. No head whatsoever and not much lacing. On the nose it is a bit boring, yet shines with a dry sweetness. I am not getting much Juniper, which is disappointing to say the least. The flavor isn't giving much Juniper either due to an overwhelming sense of hop flavor. It is a bit of a full mouthfeel with not much balance through the palate. There is a bit of an earthy, dry finish with little or no resonance to the initial flavor.

For me, this beer is missing something... I can't put my finger on it. I'm glad I tried it, but will opt for the Yellow Snow when it comes to Rogue pale ales.

Had a deeper orange color than previous pales, apricoty? Pretty much straight dry and hops. Something interesting about the hop notes. Managed to be light on the taste and mouthfeel like a lager but still having a nice kick of hops.

Refreshing and easy drinking but definitely stood out from the normal pale ale options.

If it were only available in six packs I'd start reaching for it instead of the other stand by pales.

Poured with – tiny bubbles......pretty orange/gold color, white head, and nice lace. Signature Rogue hoppiness but this one has some floral spicy kick to it as well. The hops are well balanced with a nice malt flavor. Very drinkable – I could knock back many of these.

A - Looks great. Has that perfect, golden honey look.

S - A rather faint smell. Not the most aromatic beer, definitely a pleasant fruit smell, although I've never really seen/smelled a juniper berry.

T - Great taste! Definitely not a super fruity beer. If you're working your way into IPAs, this is perfect. You get that great quality IPA taste, but not superloaded with hops. Accents of the juniper berries make a wonderfully citrus complement.

M - Feels good. Doesn't dry out your mouth, the bitterness of the hops leaves your mouth salivating for a little bit after.

D - Possibly the most drinkable IPA for me. I feel like someone took a Bell's Two-Hearted Ale and dropped a few berries in it and now I'm drinking it. Delicious.

Poured into pint with a thin head.

Color was a golden color with some haziness to it.

Smelled a bit of sweet honey and spice along with the hops.

Taste was hoppy with an easy dry finish.

Shared this one with 3 others as we tryed numerous beers that night and all of us like this one.

Great head. Thought it was maybe overfermented; but could not find a best by date. The carbonation was overflowing out of the 22, but when poured into glasses it had about a one inch head. (as a sidenote; this beer was served at around 8000 ft. elevation and brewed at around sea-level) Nonetheless This was a delicious american pale ale from Rogue. Not quite as much juniper flavor as I had expected though. With the price of beer rising, and this one was five bucks, it was well worth the buy, but only for a try. I will usually buy based on pricepoint and this brewery usually aims just above my line. But always worth a taste of something new and interesting.

It's your Hopster here. Blogging on another lonely cold Thursday night. Some people think the world ending is a bad thing- Not me. I pray for it all to end where i can cloud surf with my heavenly father.

Oh Yea let me review this beer

It has a light yellow pour with the a very small amount of head. I'm not really coming across much of a berry flavor. But the beer does feel pretty smooth upon entering the palate.

Overall this is ok. I wouldnt turn it down if handed to me. But its nothing to rave about

I was surprised by the light color of this beer. It was almost yellow in color, the bottle describes it as saffron, but I'd say that "straw" would be more accurate. The cloud-like head was not a surprise - Rogue knows what they are doing.

I didn't really notice the Juniper at first, but it became more apparent as I drank more. There's a very malty smell and taste, and the finish stands out as having a very sharp bite. It's good. Very good.

Look: Golden with a thick creamy head

Aroma: Soft floral aroma with light hops

Taste: Creamy palate with fresh almost astringent green hops

Found this ale to be full of promise on the aroma but somewhat disappointing in the taste with the astringency of the hops removing any hope of a rewarding complex and floral taste. Overall an ok beer but for sessionability it is best to followe it with something slightly more balanced.

This is my first review. I'm not sure why I decided to start reviewing with a beer I didn't care for, but here you go.

A: Very slightly cloudy dark yellow. A moderate head out of the 22oz bomber, which dissipates into a thin foam film, soon dying altogether.

S: Almost none. Basically a light lager smell.

T: Not what I'd hoped for. Dry and rather bitter, on top of a serviceable pale ale. I got this because I like gin, but I get only a very small amount of the juniper berry bite that makes gin work. And that's really only on the finish. If I didn't know this was made with juniper berries, I'd never guess. I was looking for juniper and spice, but didn't get it. Warming did help a bit, so it might be worth letting this beer warm before even starting.

M: Not particularly thick, but solid. Good here. A fair bit of carbonation released on the way down.

D: Not liking bitter pale ales without a range of spice flavors, one bottle is more than I really wanted.

A- Cloudy light copper color. Soft white head with moderate head retention. Giving way to a light lace along the glass.

S- Sweet malt with decent hop aroma and yeast. A slight berry hint as well.

T- Definete malty sweetness followed by substancial bitterness. The biterness gives way to juniper berries and finishes with decent amount of hop flavor. Maltiness almost had a buttery hint to it..

M- Full bodied with mild carbonation. The hops and juniper berries combine to give it an exotic tengling mouthfeel.

D- All on all a note worthy brew. Very interesting and memorable. Not a session beer but one i will enjoy again.

My dream in life is to hook up with my friend Fred Savage and hitchhike to Meth Mountain in Oregon because not only is it a beautiful state, but the beer is divine. My only goal besides shooting meth would be to take the Rogue brewery tour. The Juniper Pale Ale is exquisite reminding me of how much I used to love sipping Hi-C after a hard day of water polo.

S- out of bottle into glass

A- golden haze with nice head

S- hops, berry, hint of pine?

T- This beer is clean and crisp throughout with a little hoppy bite. Starts off berry, then the hops hit you, not hard, just enuff to leave you wanting a little more then a piney tast with a sweet somewhat tart finish.

O- Rogue sometimes dosent get enuff credit IMO b/c they have been making good beer for a long time. There are not the latest and greatest but everytime I pick one up Im pleased. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've had this brew and will continue to pick it up as the spring seasons come and go. Its an enjoyable citrus pale ale thats not going to knock your socks off but will satisfy most pale ale lovers taste bubs year in and out.

- Gotta love the big bubba bottle, the name, and the victorious skier dude with mutt print!
- A clear, honey-colored ale with a white, fizzy head that rapidly dissipates.
- Floral and fruity hops invade the nostrils, supported by an underlayer of malt and a touch of spice.
- Smooth, malty body with fairly dynamic carbonation. Hops are ubiquitous, but not overbearing. Dry, spicy, mildly bitter finish.
- A highly drinkable pale ale with a unique twinge imparted by juniper berries. Another round, bartender!
