A: Pours a murky reddish brown, capped by a thin layer of pale beige head with almost no retention.
S: Sweet bready malts, some wheat, very lightly tart cherries, some raisins and plums and Belgian yeastiness.
T: Sweet malts with just a touch of earthy hops, followed by dark fruits - plums mostly. Some cherry character comes in on the backend but it's rather subdued.
M: Medium to full bodied with light, creamy carbonation.
D: Easy drinking, not a particularly great beer but rather solid.

A: Brown/Mahogany beer with bubbly tan head that quickly dissipates. Very murky.
S: There really isn't that strong of a smell. Kind of smells sweet and sugary.
T: Sweet and tart cherries with a hint of brown sugar
M: Light and smooth.
O: I was expecting more.... but its a decent beer.

22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, raisin, cherry, cherry skin, toast, toffee, dark bread, brown sugar, earth, and light herbal hops. Nice and pleasant aromas with good strength and balance of malty notes; decent complexity. Taste of cherry, raisin, cherry skin, fig, caramel, toast, brown sugar, dark bread, herbal, and lightly earthy yeast esters. Some light earthy fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, raisin, fig, caramel, toast, brown sugar, dark bread, herbal, and earthiness on the finish for a bit. Very solid balance of malty and fruity flavors; with minimal cloying flavors present after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a slick and fairly syrupy mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very solid Belgian style fruit beer. Good flavor balance of dark maltiness and fruits with decent complexity; and quite smooth to drink. A fairly enjoyable offering.

Came across this bottle in Oregon a year ago, I have never seen it southern California where I live, the distribution was limited. This is part of the chatoe rogue line and is a GYO, grow your own, meaning the hops and barley were grown by rogue but not technically an estate beer.
This beer was around a year and a half old. It poured a dark brown reddish color, cloudy appearance. There was little head and did not linger. The smell was light with no strong characters other then malt.
The taste was mildly malt forward with some light cherries at the end. This was not overly sweet and had a faint tartness to the finish. The beer seemed more exciting then it was, but I did like how it drank.
overall not worth seeking out, but worth trying if you come across it.

22 oz bottle into a couple of goblets. I didn’t realize that this one was retired. I’ve had it sitting in the fridge for a while now.
Pours a clear dark ruby, with a finger of rich off-white head. This retains with a smooth foaminess and a rich cascade that hangs spotty swathes of lace down the sides of the glass. The aroma smells of tart cherries, some light earthy hops, a touch of mineral notes and some sweet sugars on the edges.
The taste is cherry flavor, which has a definite bitter pithiness to it that mingle with some light earthy citrus notes and a sweet sugary feel that lingers on the edges. The overall profile here though is mostly about the cherries, which are what linger the most here with a dry and pithy feel on the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a soft crispness in the mouth that firms up more the longer it sits on the tongue. This is actually pretty lively feeling overall.
This was interesting. I really don’t think that I would call it a Dubbel but it was at least a decently flavored Cherry Ale that drank well. Unfortunately, nothing really stood about out though besides the cherries. Could be why it isn’t brewed anymore.

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy reddish color ale with a large foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of cherries with clear cough syrup notes and lightly sweet malt notes. Taste is also dominated by sweet cherries with some definite notes of cough syrup which are not that easily discernable. Body is full with light filtration and good carbonation. I really couldn’t get the cough syrup notes out of my mouth and I finally drain poured the reminder of my glass.

Creek ale pours a redish color, with almost no head. There was a sweet candy like smell, with lots of cheeries. The taste is rather strong, and very sweet, lots of sugar flavors, with hints of cheeries. While there was a nice full flavor, it was a bit too sweet. Overall not horrible, the cherry flavors made it interesting and novel.

poured from 22oz bottle into imperial pint glass
A-cloudy mahogany with about 2 finger head that fades to a small cap leaving a little lacing behind
S-a little carmel malt and some dark fruit
T-dark fruit is all cherry in the taste and some sweet brown sugar
M-highly carbonationed and fizzy
O-more of a cherry soda than beer because it is so fizzy and cherry flavored
