Thanks to wisconsinality for sharing this oddity he brought home from Hawaii. Poured from a bottle into a tulip.

A: Golden orange, solid two fingers of bright white head. Sticky lace and a small cap.

S: Sweet corn, mild piney hops. Slight metallic hint. Tiny bit of malt. Touch of butter.

T: Pilsner malt and faded hops. Hints of corn and butter.

M: Light to medium body. Light carbonation.

D: A nice tick for the oddity category. Glad I won't have to drink it ever again.

Thanks to July2Nov for this brew.

A- Pours a burnt sienna with significant haze. A small head, about a finger's worth, recedes quickly and leaves minimal lacing.

S- Big hints of wheat and some sweetness from the malt. Reminds me a little bit of a barleywine. Some dark fruits and a slight graininess to it.

T- Wheat and some saltine cracker mixed with some wet cardboard. A little bit of sweetness from the malt and a hint of yeast.

M- Medium bodied with a little bit of a dry finish. Pretty smooth on the finish.

D- Pretty average beer but I am glad I was able to try it seeing as it is only available in Hawai'i.

Had this in the fridge for about 3 months. Purchased ~Oct 09

A - You know...I dont like to give 5's. But I opened the bottle and it still popped. I poured the beer and the head didnt move. 2 fingers sticky head. Sweet light amber color...sexy sexy head....oh yea, lacing.

S - Yummy warm malts, rind of citrus?, subtle nose though. hints of whats to come

T/M - Yep...that fills the mouth. Sweet up front but can feel the change in character. Bit of a bitter hop in the back letting you know you're drinking a beer. My vocab is failing me on describing but the mouth likes it

D - At 16 deg plato this is dangerously drinkable. Nothing too overwhelming to disuade lots of drinking. Minus price? :P

Poured from a bomber.

I wss quite surprised to find this brew...an Oregon brewery naming a beer after a bar in Hawaii. As it says on the bottle, "Dedicated to Colin and his pork chops." While this is a small bar, the food is very, very famous in Hawaii...and yes, the pork chops are amazing. Anyway, on to the beer...

Pours an orange-amber with a beautiful 2-finger fluffy white head. Very carbonated. Nice lacing and good lasting power of the head. Impressive start.

Aroma is hops, sweet and a nice amount of malts.

Taste is hops up front, but not overpowering. Sweetness and some floral notes. Grassy. Nice malts to balance it all.

Mouthfeel was medium bodied and dry.

Overall, I was very nicely impressed with this beer. I wasn't expecting much since it is a "micropiece" and for a local establishment. But, this is very good and I will try and grab some more. A good session brew [not sure of the alcohol %].

I had a twelve ounce pour of this recently at a local favorite bar. Not a very good beer in general but I always like to try something new.

Color is a light golden, very cloudy with a good amount of fizz and head.

Aroma is somewhat muted. Some hops, a little malt, but nothing really out of the ordinary.

Flavor as well was not anything outstanding. Typical of the Pale Ales that really don't taste like much of anything. Not a bad session beer but no real outstanding characteristics.

Overall, not great but not terrible.
