Poured from a mini keg into a lagunitas wide mouth glass.
Pours a darker golden color with a large white head that slowly dissipates. Smell is very prominent citrus and hops. very big smell that hits you just as the beer touches the glass. The taste isn't as big as the smell. It is very balanced between malts and hops, neither one overwhelms the other. slightly sweet aftertaste with just the right amount of bitterness from an IPA. high carbonation (thanks to the mini keg) and medium bodied.
overall a VERY easy to drink IPA. it might be the easiest drinking IPA ive ever had. No wonder they sell this in mini kegs, it's so easy to down.

Appearance: Pale orange IPA with excellent foam and lacing. Good carbonation as well.
Smell: Very strong pine cones. Very Northwestern.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Similarly to the smell, the flavor is full of Cascade hops. A bit too assertive on the hop bitterness, but it finishes with a nice resiny mouthfeel. Medium-full body.
Overall Drinkability: A pretty IPA that could use some more balance or some toning down of the hops.

Served from tap into a shaker. Poured a golden (appropriate) yellow-orange with a one finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, pine, pine hop, earth, and earth hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, earth, earth hop, pine, pine hop, and spicy hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. If you are a hop-head this brew is definitely made with you in mind. While the hops aren’t overly aggressive like some out there, this one is very hoppy and brings a nice hoppy spiciness along with it. This fact keeps your palate intrigued but does not fatigue it at the same time. Just wish that there was a little more sweetness to balance it out slightly. Definitely worth trying for any craft beer fan out there.

From notes taken last week while on tap at "The Kick-Off" in Waterloo. Long live the plastic, disposable keg!
Given the quality of beers that I have enjoyed from Rogue, don’t believe this is their best effort. Pours a hazy golden colour (almost eponymous) with little head, but still manages impressive lacing down the side of the glass. A rather simple aroma of bitter hops. Likewise the flavour is somewhat one-dimensional, an impressively bitter finish, but the body isn't as complex as it could be.
A brilliant name, but not my favourite Rogue beer.

A: A cloudy yellow color, a big off white head at the top, the head stayed for a while, and the lacing was all over the glass.
S: Strong notes of pine and citrus fruits, but nothing over the top
T: Taste was very bitter up front, but lots of strong fruit and pine throughout.
M: Medium Bodied and perfect amount of carbonation.
O: A good IPA, but nothing wild, I was expecting a bit more from Rogue on this, at least the name is great.

On tap today at the River Rd Tavern
Comes to the table in a pint glass a dark golden color with a stingy off white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of citrus and pine with a bready malty toffee and brown sugar malt base. The flavor is really nice actually. A solid shot of citrus and pine hop flavor with enough of a caramel and bready malt backbone to provide some balance. Light to moderate hop bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. I haven't had a rogue beer in a while, I'm glad I tried this one its a nice brew.

a: Slightly hazy golden yellow. It was served to me with a small frothy head.
s: Lots of hop aromas, some pine and a little citrus. Hints of suagr cookies and caramel as well.
t: Briefly sweet suagr cookies up front. Lots of pleasing bitterness at the end. A little more flavor rather than raw bitterness would have been welcome.
m: Slick and fizzy.
o: Very nice IPA, clearly a fresh keg.

On tap at George St alehouse in new Brunswick.
Arrives in pint glass cloudy dark yellowa color and thin ring of foam . Aroma is mild with some citrus hops but the beer is very cold.
First sip has a nice rush of malt sweetness followed by a firm bitter hoppy bite. Nice balanced and drinkable, and delivers the burst of choppy flavor I crave. Not crazy but just all around solid.

A- Lets a bit of light through it's copper colored body that gets a darker amber tone in the center. Very orange. The head is big and foamy and leaves an intricate web of lacing
S- Light, earthy, biscuit-like smells shine through in the aroma and there is a hint sweetness that makes me think of apricot.
T- Not as bitter as a 70 IBU IPA would lead you to believe it is. I guess amarillo hops impart a bitterness that is more similar to the tartness of tropical fruits and perhaps apricots. I would call this a balanced IPA.
M&D- Very smooth from the mini-keg with a medium body and frothy carbonation. MAy have some problems keeping this mini-keg around for more than a couple days.

I had this on tap at O'reilly's served in a pint.
The color is a light golden amber with mild haze and slight white head that settles with little lace and small bead. The smell is mostly citrus and herbal yet there is a hint of yeasty fruitiness and light floral attribute. The feel is mostly bitter with slight sweetness and generally dry body with a moderate astringency.
The taste is good with some very piney hops and mild malt backing, lasting resinous and slight bitter citrus pithy grapefruit tinges round out with a gentle yeast tanginess. The overall is good but could use more hop aroma and is a little on the bitter side with more focus on the flavor of the hops it could be a very decent IPA, it is good but I wouldn't say great.

Single finger with some lacing on a golden with crimson hues body. Light citrus and hops. Very nice aroma just not very strong. Initially this one is very bitter but it mellows out some where the hops are more dynamic. The hops are well represented. Medium body and moderate carbonation. This is a very complete but simple IPA. A nice offering from rogue.

On tap at Rogue in Vancouver.
A: 1/8" white head over cloudy yellow liquid reminiscent of urine. True to the name!
S: Floral and citrus hops dominate the smell profile, but it is rather faint.
T: Floral, citrus and some pine hops with a honey malt backbone.
M: Medium viscosity and a medium level of carbonation.
O: Very drinkable and one of the better offerings from Rogue I have had to date.

This beer arrived from the tap with a centimeter of foam above the copper colored brew. The aroma is a big dose of citrus and floral hops. Very little malt in the nose. This theme continues on the palate, however some malt does break through providing balance. The bitterness lingers long. Overall a very hop forward, but tasty, brew

Having this draft at the union brewhouse.
Appearance: Slight head, nice lacing, slightly hazy orange, and very few signs of carbonation.
Smell: citrus, grapefruit, and sweet bready malts.
Taste: all the scents blend well in the mouth. Slight bitterness in the end.
Mouthfeel: smooth, a little chewy, medium bodied, and medium carbonation.
Overall: not a bad IPA. Takes after the yellow snow effect that it loses its potency than a regular IPA. Mellow IPA IMO, but still good to drink.

Served in a shaker pint glass at Durty Nellie's.
My second 12 Beers of Christmas beer. It pours a lightly cloudy straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises wheat, grapefruit zest, leek, and a light bit of (and this is straight from my notes) "stank". Yeah, noodle that one fer a while, boyo... The taste holds notes of greens, orange peel, pine, grapefruit rind, light leek, and mild caramel. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry-ish finish. Overall, an alright IPA, but nothing I really wanna have again. Things just seemed strange when it came to the hops (as though the varietals didn't mix quite right on my tongue...something like that...).

Grabbed a pint of this at "The Library" in the south side during happy hour ($3.25)
A - Well my pour produced no head whatsoever but the color is a very attractive yellow with a slight orange tint.
S - Very strange maybe some slight pineapple or malt but really the smells are subdued. This might be because my pour was not very carbonated.
T - Ah that's more like it. I get some aggressive pine hops with citrus undertones that is semi balanced with a bread-gram cracker finish. The finish really isn't so balanced so it's kind of bitter but definitely not that bitter.
M - Light to medium but it wasn't really as good as it should be.
Overall I may have to find this again in the bottle and try this again but it was only a decent IPA with really nothing standing out. At least the price was right.

Served with a nice, off white, foamy head and plenty of lace. Color is a clear orange amber. Aroma is first hop, then malt, caramel, resin. Flavor is similar but there’s a little more roast character that compensates for the resin and makes it much more drinkable. Body is good, ditto carbonation. Finish is like flavor and of average length. Nice IPA.

First had: on tap at Capone's, Norristown, PA
Poured a clear burnished gold color, with a small layer of white bubbles for a head; not much in terms of retention or lacing. Smell of good old west coast ingredients, citrus and resin. Strong no-nonsense IPA profile on the tongue, hops filling the senses, notes of citrus zest, bready yeast in the background. Light-medium body, oily, flavorful, and quite drinkable if you're in the mood for the style, which I often am.

Served on draught at the Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen, Denmark. Serving vessel was 20cl Mikkeller stemware. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a one finger head of slight cream, fair thickness, and bad retention - especially for the ABV. Colour is a caramel orange.
Sm: Bittering hops, mint, and cream. Maybe some light lime. Me broken nose isn't real good at identifying notes. All apologies, lads.
T: Bittering hop climax is standard fare for the style. Some bland fruit esters comprise the weak body. A generic build for the style. Poorly balanced. Not bold or inspired. Rather simple.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Thankfully, its not coarse on the climax like so many awful IPAs. Complements the flavour of the body. Bravo in this category.
Dr: Drinkable for a mid range IPA. Fairly high ABV, and rather expensive (at least in Denmark!). Will only satisfy fans of the style.

I picked up a 5L mini-keg from my liquor store a couple months back, and finally decided to crack it.
This is a nice looking IPA. Hazy and coppery orange in colour with a thin soapy head. It looks really appetizing.
The aroma is slightly sweet with caramel malt coming through. The hops are present, but not overwhelming. They lend a slight pine aroma.
The flavour is crisp and hoppy to start. The malt is sweet to start, but slowly develops and becomes richer, with some slight toffee flavour. This develops alongside the hop aroma to give some citrus notes. It finishes on a slightly bitter.
Overall, this isn't a crazy IPA, but it is very solid. It's the kind of beer I really love to drink. I really enjoyed this one.

Yellow! with a tinge of gold and a finger and a half off-white head with small bubbles coming up.
Smell is of citrus, grapefruit and lemon, yum! A touch of pine too.
Taste is of bitter grapefruit and some lemon, tiny bit of malt, then the ending has a citrus bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Sticks slightly in your mouth.
Hop forward beer, they do not hide it with much malt. I happen to like this and think it is a great beer.

The beer pours off the tap light yellow with a thick white head sitting on top. The visual sells this beer short because you wouldn’t think it would be heavy in flavor.
You’re greeted immediately by a powerhouse 70 IBU punch of grapefruits and tangerines on the aroma. This beer really is a paradise for West coast IPA lovers.
The taste is a medium to light body, creamy in drink, with a nice finish of grapefruity hops. Rogue also does an excellent job or keeping the 70 IBUs in check with a well-balanced malty backbone.

Fresh, and on-tap, this can be a superior beer. I had this on-tap at the Brick Store Pub, and it was fresh indeed. A beautiful pour with a slightly hazy orange/amber color with a great head and lacing. The aromas are a bit light, but there is a nice dose of citrus, pine, and sweet malt. The taste, on the other hand, is quite nice indeed. Quite hoppy with balanced notes of citrus and pine, held up by a sweet, but unobtrusive malt background. The hops are king here. Crisp and hoppy in the finish. A fine beer by a brewery that is often taken for granted.

A - Gold and slightly hazy. Not so much head. Snowflakes of lace stick to the glass.
S - The malt is a bit buttery and stands out as such. Green leafy hop aroma. No citrus or pine.
T - This as much like an EIPA as an AIPA; perhaps a fusion/tweener. The taste is fairly astringent, somewhat over-the-top, with a flavor that reminds me of karela, which is an Asian vegetable also called bitter melon. Interesting, but not necessarily good.
M - IPA. Normal.
D - Just okay. There is almost always something better than this on-tap.

Nice copper color, short-lived, but creamy head with nice lacing remaining. Smell is slightly sweet.
Super malty, not really sweet, but really, really tastes like sticky caramel in other respects. This is then well-balanced by a very robust and tasty bitterness.
Basically none of the stereotypical "American IPA" flavors (grapefruit, pine, sticky hops), but a tasty and drinkable IPA, that's so brash and upfront that it very much deserves the label "American" nonetheless...
Thick and "sticky" mouthfeel, that suits the taste well.
ABV is a little high at 7%, but utterly undetectable.
If you like malty but "well-balanced" IPAs, this is for you.
