pours a slightly hazy golden color wiht a white head that recedes to lacing. quite a lot of effervecence giving off a nice hefe notes of citrus, and spice with a surprising amount of hops for a hafe. The taste was a little less spectacular being a bit blander than the aroma suggested, but still satisfying with the citrus and spice arangement. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a lot of carbonation. I'd deffinitely drink a few more of these.

I poured a bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance- Hazy golden color with a fingers worth of head. Faint amounts of runny lacing.
Smell- Wheat malt aroma with notes of coriander and ginger.
Taste- Wheat malt flavor with some ginger, coriander, and a hint of orange zest.
Mouthfeel- Light bodied with an average amount of carbonation. Very crisp and prickly.
Overall- A good beer but it tastes more like a Wit than a Hefeweizen.

No freshness date, but based on the Rogue's release schedule I'd say this is under a month old.
Appearance - Pours a hazy golden orange with a white, finger width head. Fair retention, leaving a sparse layer of microbubbles coating the surface and thickening around the edge of the glass. No lace present.
Smell - Predominant wheat aroma, with lesser notes of citrus, floral character and a touch of rose.
Taste - Wheat, hints of milkiness, light touches of orange zest, slight spice and a very faint rose sweetness on the back end.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium in body with moderate carbonation; fair tingle on the tongue. Crisp, clean finish.
Overall - Much better than the Half-e-weizen I remember having a good 8-9 years ago. Perhaps the addition of rose has given this a sweeter, more palatable flavor. The name is misleading; this is not a hefeweizen. Why not make it a true hefe by using the weizen yeast they use for the Roguenbier Rye they brew? It's beyond me. Regardless, this is a solid, drinkable wheat beer. It's currently categorized as a witbier, and based on flavor profile, I'd say that's about right. I'd consider this a once a year purchase.

22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger fairly dense bright white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, coriander, ginger, clove, wheat, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity; fairly weak on strength as expected. Taste of pear, lemon, apple, coriander, ginger, clove, wheat, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. No bitterness; with lingering notes of pear, lemon, apple, coriander, ginger, clove, wheat, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance of malt, spice, and fruity ester flavors; with a good amount of flavor that is not watery at all; and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a good witbier style. Good balance of malt, spice, and fruity ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A pleasantly enjoyable offering.
