On tap at Rogue brewpub in Eugene, poured into a pint glass.
A-Pours a dark golden amber, slightly opaque. Has a very thin top of off white head, visible lacing.
S-Smoked oak, caramel malt.
T-Sweet caramel malt, campfire smoke, slight hoppy bitterness. There's even the smallest hint of sour granny smith apple.
M-Light medium body, very light carbonation.
O-Pleasant smoke ale with light balance. The smoke flavor isn't overwhelming and I'd prefer more of it also more carbonation.

Rogue Smoke Ale
LOOK: Clear copper colored brew. Slight off white foam cap. Displays a fine clarity.
SMELL: Smoked malts, bbq, charcoal, cured meats.
TASTE: Rich smokey flavor, earthy wood flavor notes come through as well. Charcoal, bacon, burnt toast. There is a mild but complimentary bitterness. Slight tang. Very smokey.
FEEL: On the light side of medium bodied, well carbonated. Smoke flavor sticks to the palette and does not let go.
OVERALL: A nice smoked beer, solid flavor, ideal for a smokey bbq outdoors. Would go great with roasted pork.
